    Last night we were lazy. We had chicken fingers (from a box) and a fresh fruit and vegetable platter. My daughter tried broccoli and ate a green pepper. She is very picky (doesn't like fruits or veggies), so I was so proud of her. We had to tell her about scurvy to convince her that she needs Vitamin C.

Root crops challenge

These all grow underground and are used in many recipes. See if you can name them in English and then tell us how you like to prepare them, if you wish.The orange ones on the left are common in most countries.  Those in the center are sometimes cooked along with their leaves (or greens).  Both parts are good to eat.Those on the right are not as easy to see in the photo, but are very red, even on the inside.
