Hardi, I don't understand what spirits you are talking about? Are you talking about ghosts?
Siberia is NOT the land of dark spirits. But if you go deep into the mountainous area, you can really feel how small a human being is in this fantastic world that Lord has made.
Hi, I would like to know, what kind of spirits u have there, in Siberia. And how long u have to be there alone in nowhere to feel their presence? It depends of the location right. It might take only few minutes to make you feel great fear... because u understand how small you are...
Tanata, I am glad that you have joined this group. Y

Alamsyah, it actually looks exactly like one of the views in Altay mountains in teh Altay region, where I live!
What a beautiful picture to illustrate Siberia! Thanks for the link!
Thank you very much for giving your opinion and ideas!
Mother Nature has not been very kind to Siberia weatherwise. Meanwhile, Siberia is a huge territory and weather differs.
I live in the South of Western Siberia, Altay krai. We have all beautiful seasons of the year and it's not really cold in the winter time. It may be due to the global warming, I wanted to say, but I would rather not even make fun of it.
I am very grateful to Tanya for having posted very scenic pictures of Lake Baikal that is surely a great natural landmark of Siberia.
The landscapes in many parts of Siberia are very picturesque and we welcome everyone to come over and breathe the cleanest air and forget all of the mundane worries in the moauntains and by the rivers and lakes.
What really intrigues me, guys, is that Siberians are different from other Russians in some uncanny ways. Siberians come from survivors and we are survivors in this crazy, crazy world. And we do have charm. :)
I am intent on inviting more of my friends to EC, who are native from Siberia and they will help me tell you lots of good stories about this land that you have heard both so much and so little about. :).
Hi, everyone!I am joining this group because of a few reasons. First, I have known Irina for about a year and I like her turn of mind and ideas. Besides, I know Siberia a little. I agree with Mircea: when I came there first, I was greatly impressed with the beauty of its nature. It seems I still have some pictures of Baikal lake that is considered to be the greatest refuge of fresh water in the world and it is so beautiful there! However, Siberia is famous not for frost and its beauty only! I hope, Irina can tell bettter about her land. Anyway, I am glad to be invited. Thanks, Ira!

Is that the answer to your question, Hardi?
Meanwhile, times change and so do people. Siberia is no longer a place to send people to in order to punish them for something.
Siberia is a big part of mother Russia and it's people do their best to contribute to everybody's well being.
Well, I might have gone into too deep waters for me. I don't like to talks politics at all. Politics can never be right.
