the Love Letter

Once there was a boy who loved a girl very much. The girl’s father, however, did not like the boy and did not want their love to grow. The boy wanted to write the girl a love letter, but he was sure that the girl’s father would read it first. At last he wrote this letter to the girl.

The great love I said I have for you
is gone, and I find my dislike for you
increases every day. When I see you,
I do not even like the way you look;
the one thing I want to do is to
look the other way. I never wanted to
marry you. Our last conversation
was very dull and in no way has
made me anxious to see you again.
You think only of yourself.
If we were married, I know that I would find
life very difficult, and I would have no
pleasure in living with you. I have a heart
to give, but it is not a heart
I want to give to you. No one is more
demanding or selfish than you, and less
able to care for me and be of help to me.
I sincerely want you to understand that
I speak the truth. You will do me a favor
If you consider this is the end. Do not try
To answer this. Your letters are full of
Things that do not interest me. You have no
true concern for me. Good-bye! Believe me,
I do not care for you. Please do not think
I am still your loving friend.
The girl’s father read the letter. He was pleased, and then gave the letter to his daughter.
The girl read the letter and was very happy. The boy still loved her.
Do you know why she was pleased? She and the boy had a secret way of writing to each other. She read only the first line of the letter, and then the third line, the fifth, and so on, to the end of the letter.

  • Two frogs:
a group pf frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the others frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as deed. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.
the other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just DIE. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. when he got out. the other frogs said: "did you not hear us?" the frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time!
Lesson of the story: there is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day. So be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path the power of words...it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way!

  • oh my gosh, that sound so great, and i can feel his feeling for her... wow, i guess that is true love...

  • Beautiful story, I think that when you are in love, you are willing to go for all kind of sufferings if your heart is in there. Romance is in our blood when we find the right person.
  • So pleased to hear that, thanks, Lyn

A SAD STORY

A Sad StoryOne day three friends called Tom, Andy and Peter came to New York for a holiday. They went to a very large hotel and took a room there. Their room was on the forty-fifth floor. In the evening the friends went to the theatre and came back to the hotel very late."I'm sorry", said the clerk on duty at the hotel, "but our lifts are not working. If you don't want to walk up to your room, you will have to sleep in the hall"."No, no", said one of the three men, "no, thank you. We don't want…

This is how we miss out somthing called "LIFE"

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous…
