    Hi, Dasha! There are 6 levels of adaptation: from 1st to 6th. On Englishtips site is the list of such literature with the level in brakes but you should look for such books. It is not that easy. I will try to find some for you and I am sending that audio material right away. But I recommend you to start with something easier like ELSPod site. Honestly, I would recommend you to read fictions in original but it will be hard to accept such audio.

    Hi, Dasha! I can't recommend you Davidova or any other Russians for I use audio recorded by natives only. What I can recommend is listening to podcasts. They are of different level. Please, read what I said on the top of this page. There are some links. As to audio books. They are useful, no doubt. But you should have them together with the text. You should read level 6 or originals. Do you know Englishtips.org? You can find a lot of audio fictions of different levels there. Besides, I will try to find one more link for you. That is the records of the American radio together with scripts

    Hi, Dinh! In that sentence "being" is a gerund. It means "... names because it is the second day of school"

The uses of definite article "THE"

Hi dear Tanya, I want you clear for me the possible uses of definite article "the". I always confused me when I have to use this little word. I'd like a list of the all possible cases for this uses so that I don't miss any more the usage of THE. Awaiting for your reply and welcome help and tips.
