  Hi, Trexxie! Welcome! I can recommend you a few good grammar books. Besides, you can ask me any questions about grammar. I also recommend that you read my discussion "What do you want to know about English grammar?".There are also other discussions in my group devoted to grammar.One more thing. My husband is a native English speaker and you can ask him any questions about vocabulary. His name is Danny Clark and you will easily find him amomg EC members.

  Dear Majki! You are right. If we use The Past Progressive Tense, we should say at least something about actions that took place at the same time. Your example is correct. Here is one more:

  When I was shopping yesterday, I met my university-mate.

  Hi Dears,

  I would like to know which of these 2 senteces are grammaticly correct:

  I was shopping yesteday, or I went to a shop yesterday ??

  I think the second one is corect because it was an action in the past that ended. The first one could be used where: I was shopping at the supermarket while my dog was waiting for a dinner yesterday. Am I right ? Thanks
