Does MyEC help me in the English Course?

We know that English is the language of the century, used for different purposes like studying, getting a job, surfing on the web, talking to foreign people and so on. Because of this, many people look for a school where they can study it and become fluent in it.

However, nowadays, those kind of shools (or courses) are not the only place where we can improve our English. The Internet has brougth the world to our classroom and MyEC is one of the examples for that. The social networks have helped us a lot, once we keep in touch with students, teachers and native speakers from around the world. This is simply amazing!

So, do you agree that your experiences in this network help you in your studies in the English Course? Does it give you more confidence and autonomy when you speak, write, use different expressions?

Let's share here (on the comments session), but please, only if you study at an English course .

Thank you in advance!

I've got many friends on Skype and I speak with them all the time. Elinaz12 is my username. It would be pleasure to share my experiences in learning English with anyone who want to learn English.

  • Hi Taha,

Well... we can do games, but these games should be related to the topic of the day. Example, if you are teaching the Simple Present, you can do a tic-tac-toe (you draw the game on a craft paper and write a wrong sentence in each space - She PLAY soccer), so the sts play and as they play, they have to correct the sentence. Also, you can take board games, computer games, listenings etc.

    Cheers,
    Joyce.
  • Hello Gualberto,

I haven't taught TOEFL yet... someday I will. I've worked with Basic, Elementary, Intermediate and Upper Intermediate levels both with kids and adults.
Is this private course yours? It's very nice.

    Regards,
    Joyce.
  • Hello Joyce, from Caracas,Venezuela.

Joyce , I am teaching in this moments, Advanced Level for TOEFL students ,that want to enter the Universities in USA, next fall 2010.
If they have a good level from High School, in this private course ,I think the will be ready in 8 months.
Have you taught the TOEFL as a course.
    Regards.

Social Networks in class?

Hi friends!I've experienced very nice moments in classes about Social Networks I have done with my Intermediate and Upper Intermediate here in Brazil. I started asking them to search ab out this theme as homework. Then, the next day, I took a power point presentation to class and exploited the many kinds of SN that are used specially in our country by many people and they loved it. After, I introduced MyEC. I showed them how it works and all of them had to sign up at the same time. Now, they…
