Happy New Year, MyEC!

In my country, it is believed that good luck and prosperity would happen if you prepare meals with round fruits and glutenous rice desserts especially during 'Media Noche' or New Year's Eve. So I baked Blueberry Lemon Cake.I thought I'd spend 'forever and a day' (to take a very long time) in the kitchen. But it wasn't a 'piece of cake' (something easy) doing it either. I'm glad the experience wasn't 'as nutty as a fruitcake'(Something crazy or ridiculous). What a relief! Luckily, preparing a meal or dessert was 'a piece of a pie' (rewarding) after all. I realized “Half a loaf is better than none” (be content with what you have). How nice it is to share this cake with you all!Happy New Year, MyEC!

    Thank you very much for the compliment, A738a! I used royal blueberry toppings and fillings for this cake. I also added a lemon juice and its zest to neutralize the tangy flavor of blueberry. I agree with you, homemade cakes and desserts are always taste special. You'd know they're prepared in a clean way. :)

    Two words: yum and yum! What's in the center if you don't mind my asking? Marmalade? Jam? Some kind of jelly? Whatever it is, it looks delicious, esp., if it is home-made:)
