Along with the development of modern technology, learning something becomes easier and more convenient. You can learn whatever, whenever and wherever you like from the internet through variety kinds of educational channels and programs. Watching films or movies is one of those ways. Films can tell us a lot about the culture, the society, some problems about environment or what language is used and other things about that country.

For example, although you haven’t known anything about Korea but after you watch some Korean films, you know its capital is Seoul, its traditional food is Kimchi and every Korean girl has to know how to make Kimchi if she wants to get marriage with somebody. You are also able to speak some simple Korean words and understand their meaning because they’re usually used in almost films. Besides, the screens in the films show you the views in some cities in Korea. Through those views, you can understand about Korean people’s life style, their habits, and the environment there.

Coming to Chinese films, Chinese people always proud of their long history, so that most of famous Chinese directors often produce films about history. I don’t mention the authenticity of the stories in each film, but I have to consider that the more you watch Chinese films, the more you understand about Chinese history such as how many kings there were, which king existed in which era and some kinds about his characters or the achievements of that era. Moreover, in Chinese films, actors and actresses’ costumes are prepared sophisticatedly and carefully, if you are a fan of fashion, it’s maybe a plus.

Next, in the world of Japanese films, you can join into the world of Manga or Anime, the world of sushi and fresh seafood meals and you can know about their history or Japanese people’s life history through those simple things. Japanese films are not as romantic as Korean films or not as colorful and monumental as Chinese films, but every story in films is a humane story by which you can understand more about Japanese personalities.

In conclusion, you can learn a lot things about a country through the films which are made in that country such as the modern and traditional culture, people’s life style, society activities, and the most convenient thing is you can learn the way they use their language in daily life, not as the way you have learnt from books and schools. In other words, films are one of ways you can use if you want to learn a new language. They can help you in training listening skill and increasing your vocabularies. 

Love makes people’s life prettier but it doesn’t mean that people cannot live a beautiful life without love. A happy marriage is considered as the best result of a pretty love, but nowadays, more and more people are getting married later than before, why? There are some reasons to answer to this question.

First, people are getting busier and busier with their modern life and works. The society is developing days by days so that people have to move forward, work and re-new themselves more and more in order to not be backward with others and the society. Young people work harder to ensure for a bright future with a high social status that they can use as a tool to make their life happier and more comfortable when they get older. They spend almost their day times in offices, factories or laboratories; especially in developed countries such as Japan, salary men and workers start their days early and don’t go home unless they make sure that all the works of that day have been done. It’s not too hard and too surprising for you to find and see the crowded last trains of day in the big cities of Japan. They have no time for dating and even for their basic private necessaries for their life. And marriage maybe is just in their dream.

Second, every person has their own life; family situation and finance situation sometimes effect to people’s marriage. Some people cannot get marriage when they are young for some family situations. For example, the elder sisters or brothers have to take care of their younger ones, old parents, and sometimes also people in their relatives. They spend almost their young ages for their family and get older and older when their younger sisters and brothers grow up. Besides, in some old style families, the men who are the elder or the leader often have heavy responsibilities with their family. And finding a person who can understand them and share their responsibilities is not easy, because maybe sometimes that person has to be agreed by all the members of the family. In another side, some young people want to get marriage but they don’t have a good finance situation as the older, they don’t have enough money to celebrate their marriage and they cannot ensure for their life after that. That causes their chances less times to times.

Third, some people just want to enjoy their life as their ways such as travel, parties with friends when they are young, so that they don’t want to get marriage early. This reason is very different from the two above ones but it’s not rare. They work hard and after that they enjoy their results as a present for life. People in this type don’t care about marriage much and lot of them don’t get marriage even they are young or old, with them, life is like adventures for them to discover and there are more interesting things than marriage.

In conclusion, the development of the society, family situation and finance situation, and private hobbies are three of reasons why people are getting marriage later and later nowadays. Getting marriage late helps people to able to concentrate to their goals of life, gives them more time to do their hobbies when they are young. But beside that, it also brings trouble to people too, such as the later they get marriage the harder they can become pregnant and give birth, especially older women. Anyway, getting marriage or not is freedom, but it’s also the most important thing in every people’s life, so they should have a smart choice for this matter.

Currently, environmental pollution is becoming increasingly popular and a serious problem that need to be solved as soon as possible not only in a country but also in over the world. There are many causes of environmental pollution.

The first reason is the development of society. Somebody perhaps does not like this reason but it is true. The more society develops the more kinds of industry increase and develop too. In order to satisfy the people’s needs, many factories and industrial parks are rapidly growing, especially in the developing countries in Asia. This also means that emissions from these factories and industrial parks is getting more and more days by days. China is a typical and Chinese government has to face with this problem. Besides, there is not only exhaust gas; some of factories are also discharging industrial garbage into rivers and the seas. An example for this case is in Japan where a big earthquake and tsunami was coming in 2011. That disaster destroyed almost the Fukushima nuclear power plant where a big amount of waste water was discharged into the ocean after that.

Next, the status of the population explosion in the world is another cause of environmental pollution. Demands for housing, foods and other basic necessities for human life are rising daily. To supply for these demands, the exploitation of natural energy and mineral resources is increasing with a larger scale days after days. However, natural resources are not unlimited as people’s thought and therefore the over-exploitation have been depleting these resources. Thus, it effects to the balance of the ecosystem and causes incalculable consequences. In a near future, these natural resources are maybe disappeared forever if people don’t have any plan for excavation and re-creation them.

Finally, the third one is the combination of two above reasons. The combination of development of society and population growth facilitates the acceleration of transportation. The number of motorbikes in the developing countries and the number of cars in the developed countries are increasing exponentially. Vehicle exhaust and engine noise are also the causes of environmental pollution too.

In conclusion, environmental pollution is one of many problems about environment. It is not a new problem but it never becomes an old one, especially in nowadays when the world is expanding, society is developing and people’s needs are increasing rapidly daily, the environmental pollution should be more and more concentrated.

In the model life when people are always busy with their works, schools, lifestyles and other things which cannot be named exactly, the handiness is more necessary. For that reason, convenient stores and supermarkets are increasingly appearing in almost big cities and gradually replacing traditional markets. However, both market and supermarket has its own features.

First of all, on a beautiful day when you want to go out and talk with somebody, you can go to any markets where are always crowded of people. You can talk with the sellers, ask them about the goods, the prices of goods or just ask them how they are and talk about the weather like of the day. If you have good relations with the sellers, you can also ask them to discount for the goods or be promoted new products by themselves. They may give you some good advices and necessary information for what you want to know, or there are simply daily conversations between people. Market is a place for people’s communication. All gossips often begin at a market, where always has talkative sellers with their noisy voices. But sometimes you will be disturbed by their invitations with insistence and asked to buy something from their goods, sometimes you will be angry if you just ask without buying anything, and sometimes you will be ignored if their corner is full of customers. Moreover, goods and trades in the markets depend on lot of things such as the weather, sale time or even sellers’ moods. Some markets are closed in rainy days or on located holidays. Besides, all markets are started early and ended early too, so that if you want to buy good products or vegetable, meat and other fresh food you have to go as soon as possible. And one of the most important things if you want to buy good products with a real bargain at any market is seeing the sellers’ faces and trying to understand aspect of the situation. Their moods will decide the prices sometimes.

In contrast, in a supermarket, you can enjoy your free time for shopping and relax yourself in smooth melodies without any disturbance from anyone. It is your world. You can even go around, see the goods and buy nothing. Nobody can complain you anything. In hot summer days or cold winter days, big supermarkets are places for walking or jogging. Nowadays, most supermarkets are opened until late and some of them are opened all days without any regular holiday. So, they are becoming more and more convenient for people who don’t have daytime for shopping. And if you are not good at bidding for the prices, supermarkets are your best choice. Beside the efficacies, expiration dates and explanations for using, every good has its price on the package. You should read it carefully and decide to buy or not by yourself. The staffs in supermarket rarely give you any comment about their goods.

At last, although traditional markets and supermarkets have their differences from each other, but both of them are really necessary for people’s life. There are many things which are only found at markets such as located traditional goods or heirloom ones, and of course in the other side, there are a lot of things such as some newest modern technology in goods which are easily found in any supermarket instead of markets. However, markets and supermarkets cannot be separated. Depending on the changes and the developments of the world and our society, the number of markets and supermarket and the equality between them may change, but they always exist together. It will be very fun and interesting if you change your shopping styles sometimes. 

In modern lifestyle, although many people prefer to eat out such as at food stands or restaurants, I prefer to cook at home. The main reason is I can be myself and relax when I cook something; moreover I can eat whenever and whatever I want by my own taste with fresh ingredients. And the last one is cooking at home can help you saving some money because it’s cheaper than eating out.

First of all, cooking at home helps me relax. In the past, I couldn’t cook anything because my mom did everything for me at home. One day, my life changed to another page when I had to leave my country for studying abroad and began living alone. I had to do everything by myself, and of course cooking was included in. I couldn’t cook well as first but the more I try to cook something the more interesting I can feel in every dish. I feel happy when I can cook some delicious dishes and sometimes laughed at myself if the taste becomes strange and doesn’t become as thing as I want to make, I find out myself in them. And, whatever my food becomes, they’re all my results of labor and I can proud of them, I feel very comfortable when cooking at home.

Also, the more I cook the more dishes I can cook, so that I can eat everything whenever I want by my own unique taste with the freshest ingredients. If you go to restaurants and choose something to eat, they’re maybe delicious but their taste is not yours. All food is made by a standard taste in order everyone can eat them, so that they will feel same with each other about all dishes which are easily found in many restaurants. Although, if you can find a restaurant which has your favorite dishes with their unique taste, it doesn’t mean that you can eat them whenever you want. It’s not convenient if you live far away from that restaurant or suddenly you want to eat something at the midnight. Besides, to reduce costs and increase profits, someone uses old and bad ingredients to make dishes. It’s really very dangerous not only for your health but sometimes also for your life.    

Finally, you can believe or not, but cooking at home can help you save some money. The more delicious food you want to eat the more expensive you have to pay for them when you eat out. In contrast, when you cook at home, you can choose ingredients with possible prices. If you’re lucky, you can find lot of good things at any bargain market or at a fair market at any supermarkets with an unbelievable cheapness prices. And for myself, I don’t want to pay money for anything that I can make, and meals are one of those things.

In summary, people are getting busier and busier with their works, relationships, etc.… in modern lifestyle and lot of them are losing habit of cooking at home. But with me, cooking at home is not only a habit but also a hobby and I prefer to cook at home than to eat out at any restaurant.

Schools are places where we can start learning everything as a basic knowledge when we were a child. That knowledge maybe helps us when we grow up and start working in our society. But, between 2 ideas, things learned in school or through life experiences, I think things learned through life experiences are more important to a person’s education, because beside what we learned in schools, there are also a lot of things we can learn outside our schools.

First of all, we are just taught by our teachers and sometime by our friends at schools. Depend on teachers’ knowledge and the ways they teach in classes, the knowledge and information we input can be changed. Good teachers certainly have good teaching methods, but in a small space like school, those teachers are limited and what we can learn from them is few and limited too. Opposite to that, in life we can find out “good teachers” everywhere we go, because everyone we meet has at least one good thing that we should learn from them. We not only learn from them, but also be learned by them, we and people around us can become teachers to each other in many ways.

Besides, in most of school, books are used as the most necessary tool in teaching and learning, but the knowledge in books is not enough and parts of them are just used as theories. Theory and practice are different and there is a long distance from theory to practice. It doesn't mean that all we learned at school can be used in life and of course, in the contrary, there are a lot of things in life we cannot learn at schools. In other words, to a certain limit and depend on different situations, the knowledge in books can or cannot be used in real life where we have to learn by practicing as more as possible. Moreover, books are written by people who are chosen and considered as professors at any field. So, the more they can write in books the more they have to learn and practice themselves through life experiences, because the valuable theories are ones which have been proven by practice. In short, like us, they had to learn a lot before they can write any book, to the utmost extent we can believe in what they wrote but we need not believe all. We can check and find out by ourselves through our experiences instead of believing passively in all which are written in books.

In addition, real things in life are more interesting than boring letters in books. We can see, hear, touch, smell, and taste everything we want. We can feel them by our own ways; of course learning things is included. We know what is needed and can choose the best way to learn for ourselves. Information and knowledge are almost opened, so we can choose whatever we want to know, to learn and can learn actively by ourselves whenever, wherever. Life is the most interesting and largest school where we can learn everything forever.

In conclusion, because human’s knowledge is unlimited, so the more we learn, the less we understand. We should learn as more as we can as an interest, not as a duty. And with above reasons, I agree with idea that things learned through life experiences are more important to a person’s education. 

If you are a fan of Disney and like animations, you certainly know their famous productions such as Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast. They are two in lot of nice stories about princes, princesses and fairy tales for children. Don’t you get curious about how the girls’ lives are before they meet their princes, about their princes, the ways they meet each other and other interesting minor characters in every story? Let’s get into the dreaming world with them.  

To begin with how the girls’ life before they meet their princes. Cinderella – the main character in Cinderella's story, and Bella – the main one in Beauty and the Beast's story, are both motherless children and live with their fathers. The worst dates of Cinderella’s life begin when her father gets marriage twice after her mother died and she has to live with stepmother and 2 daughters of that woman. Cinderella has to become a servant without salary in her own house. She has to work hard all days and has no free time for herself. She has no friend and just able to make friends with birds, mice, and other animals which are always around her, talk and play with her and help her to do housework. Likewise Cinderella, Bella lives with her father who is a strange scientist and made fool by people in town, maybe because of that character Bella’s father doesn’t get marriage again, and Bella’s life is easier than Cinderella’s one. Bella has her own freedom life and friends in town where she can find many books in any bookstore or community library for her reading hobby. But, however their life are, they’re both nice girls who are loved by people around.

Next is about the princes and the ways our girls meet their princes. The second main character and be always needed in every animation of Disney is princes. In Cinderella’s story, the prince is quite like other charming princes in all romance fairy stories, such like he’s a manly handsome popular person and else…. He opens a party and invites all ladies in the country in order to find out a good girl who will become his wife in the future. He meets a beautiful girl who has a pair of crystal shoes. He falls in love with that nice girl at the first time but he can’t do or talk to her anything because the girl has to go home in hurry. The only thing that he can use to find out his girl is one-side shoe she dropped. Prince opens a contest in order to find out the girl whose foot fits with the crystal shoe and he can find his princess Cinderella in finally. In contrast with the charming prince in Cinderella’s story, the prince in Beauty and the Beast’s story is a Beast. In other word, he used to be a charming prince but not only he is conjured to become a lion but also everything and everyone who live in his castle are conjured into toys because of his selfishness. He’s cursed, his life is counting down days by days, and he will die if he can’t find out a truth love with anyone. One day, he meets a nice girl who comes to his castle in order to replace for her father and become a servant in his castle. He is attracted by her warming heart; he gets his self-confidence back and opened his heart to everyone a little by little. He finds out his truth love with Bella who loves him because of himself and his manner no matter what he is. They fight together to protect their happiness and they win in the end. Cinderella and Bella have different life and lifestyle; similarly, their princes have different characters too. But all of them are good people who want to love and to be loved in truth, so that, as routine of Disney style, they should have a happy ending at all.

In addition, beside the main characters, there are a lot of minor ones in every story. There are two kinds of minor characters, companion and enemy in both Cinderella’s story and Beauty and the Beast’s story. An interesting similarity between these two stories is the companions are not human. They’re also animals like birds, mice or toys like cups of tea, pot or carpet, and etc. Although they are not human but they have human’s personalities with their own emotions, feelings, actions…and without their helps, the main characters’ dreams may not become true. Mice and birds help Cinderella doing housework and become a beautiful carriage Cinderella uses for going to the party. They appear in almost important moments in Cinderella’s life as a magic. In the same way, toys characters protect the castle in which the Beast and Bella are in, when they are attacked by Gaston, who want to kill the Beast and get marriage with Bella and his fellows. They exist and nurture the love between Bella and the Beast. Animals and toys characters are small but their existences are as necessary as the main characters. Besides, the enemy characters’ existences are needed too, because the main characters’ personalities won’t be emphasized if there are no enemy ones. Enemy characters make the stories more and more attractive and dramatic.

In closing, no matter who they are, no matter what they do, no matter how they find each other, both Cinderella’s story and Beauty and the Beast’s story have the same style of Disney’s storytelling, nice girls meet their charming princes, they fight together to protect their love and their romantic stories will end with a happy wedding ceremony. Disney’s producers create unique characters and different situations in every story, so that, although the plots are almost same in a lot of animations, their productions are always welcome, especially by children over the world.

There is a research in the society of ants which was done by  Hasegawa Eisuke, assistant professor of Hokkaido University.  According to the research, Hasegawa considered that there were surely non-working ants in their society. After observing behavior of 150 ants in a nest, he realized that besides about 20% of hard-working ants which did such things like cleaning the nest or finding food , there were still non-working ants which just moved around and did nothing. Then, he gathered the hard-working ants in a group and observed their behaviors. The result was identical with the first one. He ascertained that the percent of non-working ants in 2 researches were same.

According to Hasegawa, the ants couldn't work rather than they didn't work. Their working-switches were only turned on when they were in a definite insufficiency situation such as their nest was getting dirty or food wasn't enough for all. And depending on different sensitivity of every ant,  they also look like some lazy one.

At Yasuhara Yoshihiro (1908~1992)’s house in Tokyo, a letter which was sent to him from his close friend Nakahara Chuya – a poet who was born 1907 and died young in 1937, was found. In the letter, Yasuhara was suggested that “The Black Monk”, one of Russian author Anton Chekhov’s novels was a “needed being read in life” book.

“The Black Monk” was written about a man whose future was seemingly expected since he was still a child. He’d studied too hard so that he was suffered from a mental illness which made him being able to see hallucinations. As a precocious poet who had experienced a lot of setbacks in life, Chuya explained the environment where the main character had just wanted to find a “spiritual peace ending” but he hadn’t able to do that. Chuya also wrote, “This novel which depicted mystery of youth with such a sense of reality, is the only one over the world”.

The letter was written by fountain pen in 4 pages of manuscript paper with squares for 150 characters. The letter was said to have more than 4 pages but the remainder of it hasn’t been found yet.
