Besides the serene, beautiful, and natural environment, and the harmonious human environment, the Second Home has another important characteristic -- freedom.
Freedom is not having everything your own way and doing whatever you want, but doing what you like freely and never over the “rules”. In the Second Home, the rules are found in Chanyuan Values -- mainly stated in “800 Values for the New Era Human Beings”. If you are totally resonant with Chanyuan Values, then you will experience complete freedom in the Second Home, no one will manage you but you will do whatever you do in the right way. Otherwise, if you are not resonant with Chanyuan Values, you will feel restricted everywhere, and it will seem very easy for you to make mistakes.
So this is Paradise management (also called holographic management):There is no management but management is everywhere, there are no requirements or rules but requirements and rules are everywhere.
In paradise management, there are no managers. Our “guide” Xuefeng is only responsible for guidance toward spiritual growth, and the “branch director” is only responsible for the overall arrangement of production and daily life. Both the “guide” and the “branch director” treat themselves as servants for all the residents.
Everyone chooses their job according to their interest and ability, and how hard and heavy the work is will depend upon their health and energy level. Of course, one should never be lazy or slip away from doing the work.
From the storehouse, anything can be taken freely, on the basis of need and never wasted.
In the morning, one can normally choose their time to wake up, while some residents are not allowed to do so, this is not to divide people into different “castes”, but according to the specific needs and requirements of the situations. It depends on your constant performance and the specific needs for that day. In this home laziness is the biggest enemy, so it is never tolerated.
In the Second home, as your soul garden becomes more perfect, when you always emit these beautiful qualities of sincerity, kindness, love, beauty, honesty, and trust, when you do your job the best that you can, when you always bring happiness, freedom, and blessing to the brothers and sisters, when you care and love this big family wholeheartedly, when you contribute yourself first and put enjoyment second, when you own nothing but contribute everything you have to the community, when you take yourself as humble grass, when you cannot sense the management at all, you will experience a very free and happy life here.
In your working field, you are the superman, whatever you say goes and people will cooperate with you. But of course if anything goes wrong, you will be the one who takes the full responsibility.
It looks perfect, but can this work well in reality?
Yes, but there are some conditions which must be met for implementing paradise management. The first is that it must have guidance from a Saint, someone who can stimulate people’s best qualities, such as sincerity, kindness, beauty, love, trust, and honesty. The second is that it needs an effective program on life and production such that everyone is responsible for a certain job. The third is that through soul garden beautification, everyone turns to be highly civilized and would like to do their jobs the best way they can. Finally, there are no administrators, everyone is the direct creator of wealth, include material wealth, spiritual wealth and soul wealth.
Paradise management creates a culture of “flowers blooming in a riot of colors”. As in the Chinese idiom, “Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each one shows his or her special prowess”, one can bring out their abilities, characters, and talents to their fullest, on a basis of no coercion or hurt to others.
Since the core values of Lifechanyuan are: “Revere the Greatest Creator, Revere LIFE, Revere nature, and walk on the way of the Greatest Creator”, the core meaning of “the way of the Greatest Creator” is “ love and the way of nature.”

“People’s longing for a beautiful life is our goal.”
When I read these warm words spoken by President Xi, my heart was touched by his saint-like love. Yes, is it not one’s final goal to live on earth for a happy, joyful, free, and blessed life? People are making efforts every day, every month, and every year. Why? Are they not working for an ideal life? President Xi has sent the words right into people’s hearts.
An ideal life, people have chased for thousands of years, so where is it? Sometimes we glanced at it from an immortal story, but it seemed too far to be touched; Poet Tao Yuanming (famous poet from China’s East Jin Dynasty) told us, “at a place full of fallen petals, there is a Xanadu with graceful environment, natural, simple, and kind people, everybody is happy, free, and grateful”.
When life is so stressful that we cannot breathe, we hope so much for a place where we need not worry about food, clothing, shelter, or transportation, where we have no concerns over birth, aging, sickness, or death, and where we have no anxiety for money, houses, cars, and the like, but we can live simply and work happily. We work not for money, but for our interests and special talents, and we can do that which we like, but not what we dislike.
When we feel nervous, tired, and exhausted from all kinds of personal relationships, how much we hope for a place where people get along with each other simply, and always feel relaxed and free. Even if we eat only simple foods, we do it in the company of good friends.
When we breath polluted air and eat food of inferior quality, how much we hope there is a place where we can cultivate our own vegetables, get up with the first sunshine, fall asleep along when the sun sets, and where we plant the purest fruits and vegetables, breathe the freshest air, and eat the most natural and healthy foods.
When we look at the city surrounded by high buildings made of reinforced concrete, how much we long for a nice place in a forest, on an open field, or at the seaside, where there is a simple but beautiful courtyard, and we can be so close to nature that we can enjoy a natural and serene life and our souls can fly.
Is there any place like this?
Yes, there is. It is the Second Home of Lifechanyuan.
The Second Home is the Xanadu people have dreamed of for thousands of years. It does not exist in the immortal stories, nor in the literary creations of Poets such as Tao Yuanming either, but in real life on the land of China, so close and clear that it can be touched.
In the past several years, founder of the Second Home, Xuefeng has led Chanyuan celestials and created three Xanadus in Yunnan, China with their diligence, wisdom, time, and money. — The serene 1st branch in Anning, the graceful 3rd branch in Chuxiong and the generous 4th branch in Lincang.
The Second Home is the new life mode for human beings, the most ideal lifestyle for mankind, and the Xanadu-like environment is just one of her characteristics.

In the Second Home, everything is wonderful and desirable, so how is this realized and maintained so well?
The picture of Xanadu in each person’s heart could be different and unique, but at least two points are the same: one is the graceful, serene, clean, tidy, and natural environment, with abundant food, no worries, quarrels, troubles, or noise, and the other is the harmonious human environment: people are simple, kind, friendly, and diligent, there is no mutual guarding among people, but only family-like love and sharing from their hearts.
When you calm down, you may think, what are the sources of your worries, troubles, and pain? Do they come from Heidi’s earthquake, Philippine’s Typhoon, the coldness of North America, extreme heat of Australia, or the poverty in Africa and the conflicts in the Middle-east? Probably not. Are they because you do not have enough food to eat, clothes to wear, or a place to sleep? These are not likely the reasons either. They are mostly coming from the chatter of family and relatives, the gossip between neighbors, the stress and competition among companies, and the misunderstandings among friends and coworkers. These are the main elements that bring out your worries and troubles and that even exhaust you.
There are those who say, “Man has a selfish nature. As long as there are people, there are contradictions, fights, and conflicts, therefore troubles and pains cannot be avoided”.
So how does this Xanadu — the Second Home — achieve such deep harmony among people and how does it become a home without contradictions and conflicts?
The answer is to, “beautify your soul garden”. All Chanyuan celestials living in the community consider this to be their number one priority and their most important task. People’s words and actions are led by their consciousness, while consciousness is relatively abstract. If we look at consciousness as a garden, it will be much easier to understand. Sincerity, kindness, love, beauty, honesty, and trust are beautiful flowers growing in our soul gardens and they make our qualities shine like diamonds, but jealousy, complaining, selfishness, comparison, laziness, and waste are weeds living in our soul gardens and they prevent us from being happy.
The flowers in soul gardens are gratitude, praise, sincerity, respect, maintaining faith, honesty, kindness, diligence, simplicity, flexibility, bravery, unselfishness, devotion, service, care, tolerance, consideration, compassion, mercy, and the like.
The weeds in our soul gardens are jealousy, hostility, outrage, contention, complaining, comparison, hatred, fear, anxiety, falsity, wickedness, ugliness, dishonesty, hypocrisy, greed, possession, forced occupation, desire to excel over others, justification, and other weeds and barnyard grasses.
Ask yourself, would you prefer to stay with those who have beautiful flowers in their soul gardens, or with those who have more ugly weeds?
Every Chanyuan celestial in the Second Home lives their life according to Chanyuan values, it is much easier to find the “weeds” in this collective life than in traditional secular society. Through continuous beautification of one’s soul garden, the more beautiful your garden becomes, the more happiness and freedom you will enjoy. For married couples, love and respect increases, while mutual emotional torture and complaining decreases. For parents and children, understanding increases, and the generation gap slowly fades away. For brothers and sisters and for peers, praise and friendship increase, as complaining and jealousy are soon forgotten.
In Konohana Family - the 5th branch of the Second Home - they have a value of, “cultivate one’s heart before cultivating fields”, which has the same meaning as beautifying one’s soul garden. When one’s soul is pure, the field is pure, when one’s heart is beautiful, the world is beautiful, so the basis for building up a “beautiful China” must also be putting “beautiful soul gardens” first.
Another reason for purifying your soul garden is that you can sublimate your LIFE quality through such purification. Besides harvesting a happier present life, you also lay the foundation of sublimating your LIFE to higher LIFE space. When you come to the Second Home, you feel the family-like warmness and love from everyone here: everybody smiles at you, people offer any help you need quickly, the grounds are neat, tidy, clean, and beautiful everywhere. People get along with each other very well and happiness, harmony, and love are always in the air. The more deeply you integrate into this home, the happier and freer you become. Therefore, almost no Chanyuan celestial would want to go back home once they live in the Second Home, the longer they live here, the less they would like to leave.
These are all fruits from beautifying the soul garden.
In the Second Home, as your soul garden becomes more perfect, you gain more and more freedom and happiness. Nobody manages you, you are the boss in the field for which are responsible, and you may utilize your talents as much as you can, because the management of the Second Home is “Paradise Management”.

Greetings to all of you.
“How happy we are, to meet friends from afar”. These days, all brothers and sisters of the Second Home are immersed in the sea of joy because of the visit of Michiyo, and also because our two communities are uniting as one. We have transcended country borders, culture difference, historic conflicts, and become one big harmonious family. This is not only a great news for Konohana and the Second Home, but also a great news for all Japanese and Chinese people, and a great news for the entire humanity.
Konohana Family has been developing for 19 years under the outstanding guidance of Isadon, now it is a very successful community that has reached overall abundance in material and spiritual aspects. The living environment is elegant, the community atmosphere is harmonious, and everyone feels happy, free, joyful and blessed. It is a wonderful achievement and we are very proud of you.
“The road ahead is very long”. Humankind has been worked for thousands of years for a beautiful ideal. Numerous sages and saints have dedicated a lifetime of efforts, wisdom, and talents even their lives to eliminate world’s poverty, famine, conflicts, and wars, and to the cause of world’s peace, happiness, and freedom. The unity of Konohana Family and the Second Home today is a crystallization of human wisdom. It is also a symbol of advancement of human civilization, and the result of thousands of years of pursuit of a beautiful lifestyle as well as the hope for the best future of humanity.
Let us hold up the hope for humanity, and take actions to show our sincerity, kindness, beauty, love, faith, and honesty. Let us set a good example of civilization by uniting our two communities. We are confident that we are capable of overcoming all difficulties along the way, and leading humanity walk on the Way of the Greatest Creator, and the road of peace, freedom, happiness, and eventually realize the dream of “The talents will be put to good use, and the whole world will be one family”.
Opportunity knocks but once. Today’s world is still full of savages, ignorance, autocracy, power, conflicts, and fights. The UN and the government of all countries are making efforts; thousands of communities/ecovillages and all individuals who love peace are working hard. We shall work even more hard, give up all personal interests and open wide bosom to embrace people from different nations, regions, cultures, political and religious background to initiate a brightest era ever.
Life is limited, but our spiritual LIFE is unlimited. The earth has its limitation, but time and space are unlimited. Human beings’ wisdom are limited, but that of the Greatest Creator is unlimited. Let us unite hand in hand toward the infinite mysteries of time and space and continuously exploring the way forward.

A Century’s Dreadful Earthquakes and Jesus’ Revelation

Jesus the Christ’s Revelation said: “and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers’ places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Historically, human beings had never experienced such frequent earthquakes in the history. Please look at the following cataclysmic earthquakes all over the world:
On December 28 1908, The earthquake in Messina, Italy took more than 80,000 lives
On December 16, 1920, about 200,000 people were killed in the earthquake in Haiyuan, China.
On September 1, 1923, in Japan, it was estimated that about143,000 deaths in the Great Kanto earthquake.
On October 5, 1948, in Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat earthquake took110,000 lives.
On May 31, 1970, the earthquake in Ancash, Peru killed about 70,000 people and 800,000 became homeless.
In 1976, the death toll in the Great Tangshan Earthquake in China was about 250,000.
On December 26, 2004, Indian Ocean earthquake triggered a series of devastating tsunamis and 227,898 people were killed, according to official announcement.
On October 8, 2005, about 79,000were killed in the Pakistan Kashmir Earthquake.
On May 12, 2008, in China, the Sichuan earthquake killed 69,225 people and 17,923 were missing.
On January 13, 2010, a strong earthquake stuck Haiti, killing about 300,000 people.
What do these frequent earthquakes mean? It means the beginning of “circles of sorrows”. Human beings are on the point of experiencing a period of unusual difficulties. “Great tribulation” is coming. Jesus told us: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's (refers to the Chanyuan Celestials on Book of Life—noted by Deiform Buddha) sake those days shall be shortened.”
“For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.”
“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect (refers to the Chanyuan Celestials on Book of Life—noted by Deiform Buddha) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” the Lifechanyuan Era will start then.
We must “Be alert”, and “Keep watch” because we are at a turning point in human history.

When we walk on this way, the way of the Greatest Creator and the way of Lifechanyuan, we are destined to devote ourselves to the land that gives birth to us, to humanity, to nature and to all other lives. By giving out everything we have, we will achieve perfect souls, noble characters, and the life wealth which qualifies us to enter into heaven.
All saints and sages have taught us to “give up ourselves (no ego)”. Because of this “no ego”, we will not fight with others, we will not get hurt, and we will not have worries or fears. We shall not only devote our widsom and material wealth to humanity and nature, but will also give our flesh and blood. We return to Satan that which is Satan's, and to the Greatest Creator that which is the Greatest Creator's. We give back that which we owe to others and pay off the debts that we owe to Mother Nature. We have left ourselves only with perfect hearts, intact hearts with love.
Let love be our guide towards higher-level spaces: let us love people around us, love life, love nature, love our nation and all other nations, love society, and love all those who hurt us. No matter what we have been through, let us not stop a childlike heart, and let us not stop a loving heart. We shall never complain, and our minds shall never be poisoned with hate or revenge. Even as we face death, we shall never let our love extinguish, we will accept it with joy instead.
We only measure if we are good enough, and we do not judge society and others. We are wrong when we think others are not good. We should ask ourselves whether we are good enough? We are wrong when we think others hurt us. We should reflect back and ask ourselves if we hurt others. This is not merely psychological victory. We are not going to escape the reality and contradiction. This is not cowardice, but is actually the character that ripe crops must have.
Facing our hardships, we accept them calmly. Without experiencing bitterness or difficulties, how can our will and faith be honed and become stronger? A lark can only become a phoenix in the raging fire. Silkworms can only grow after they exfoliate, and they are not able to become butterflies without first being wraped in cocoons. Hardship is a good thing, not a bad thing.
Leave all the good things to others and to society and let them enjoy the sweet fruits of our labor which are irrigated by our blood, sweat, and tears. We do not care about our gains or losses, and we do not own any material wealth. We only pay attention to the wealth we accumulate in heaven. Where our wealth is, so do our souls reside. Where our souls reside, will be the place to which we finally go.
We value and revere life, but we are not afraid of death. In this human world, death is a phenomenon from which we can see Tao in its fairest form. Today when we live, let us live happily; were we to die tomorrow, we should accept it with joy because “death is where life is reborn”; if we do not die here, we will not be born there. The most important thing is where we go next; when we have the quality of a heavenly life, how would we be afraid of death? We would look forward to it instead.
So, we will neither fight nor resist. Everything is within the control of Tao. Anything apearing to show a complicated form are simple rules and laws of Tao. We face any situation with love, then we are walking on the way of Tao, and we will not lose anything. If we are against Tao, everything will become void and passing clouds that come and go.
Who is stronger, and who is the winner? All are tragedies of the shortsighted. Those who are awake will not fight for victory in a flash moment.
Let him do it if anyone wants to take something, let him do it if anyone uses his force. Let him be the hero if anyone behaves strongly. Let us just be unrestrained and celestial and see who is the one who will have the final laugh.
Let us not stop a childlike heart, but treat everything with love. No matter what situations we have encountered, we shall hurt neither our ancestors nor our nation. We shall not hurt soceity, nature, or other life beings. It is up to the Greatest Creator to judge who is right or wrong, and it is up to Tao to assess our merits and faults. Let us just have an unrestrained journey, and deposit our love in heaven.
Let it go, and let all go! Do not attach to anything; let nature take its course, and let us just follow Tao, then we will eventually reach our destination.

First, let us understand these eight characteristics of the era in which we are living:
The current era of humanity is one of disorder
It is an era of nationalities, political parties, religions, races, countries, and other interest groups fighting both overtly and covertly
It is an era of people mostly pursuing material comforts but ultimately falling apart
It is an era in which the winners make the rules and the losers are always wrong, with everything depending on force and power
It is an era of countries being controlled by separatist regimes through the force of arms
It is an era that is locked in a seesaw struggle between truth, goodness, and beauty against falsity, evil, and ugliness
It is an era in which people are confused, with gloomy hearts and souls, with decadent spirits and anxious minds, and who cannot see the trend of future developments
In one sentence, it is an era under Satan’s reign
The new Lifechanyuan era can be characterized by the following eight major qualities:
The disappearance of countries
The disappearance of religions
The disappearance of political parties
The disappearance of families
The disappearance of war, crime, hunger, and disease
A shift from pursuing material comfort to pursuing spiritual satisfaction
The production and life of people everywhere will be steered by saints and managed by sages
Knowledge of the Greatest Creator will take root in society and we will live in a harmonious and orderly manner with nature and other advanced LIFE
Beyond those, there are these eight additional features:
Deserts will become oasis
The good order of “No one pocketing anything found on the road and doors not needing to be locked at night” will become normal, for thieves will be gone
People will mutually trust, respect, and love each other as members of the same family
Weather will usually be good for the crops, with distinct seasons, and natural calamities such as earthquakes and storms will be rare
Bad traditions, such as one’s dignity depending on their amount of money, their power and influence, and their fame and prestige will change
The forms of love between men and women will diversify
The lifespans of people will increase to about five-hundred years
The manner and time of one’s death will be self-determined
In this New Era, the human population may decline sharply as many extinct species reappear. The world, including the air and water, will be purified and restored to its earlier state. This era will belong to those who have devoted painstaking efforts throughout their Lives to revering nature, Life, the Greatest Creator, and humanity.
Light the Sacred Lamp in Your Heart

We can face problems or stumble into traps when we walk in the dark. More seriously, we could take a wrong turn and be lead awayfrom our destination. It is only when we walk in the sunlight or shinea lamp to brightenour way that we are able to reach our destination, one step at a time.
As cultivators, we must first learn where we want to go. Then, we need to follow this path and not be distracted or mislead by anything along the way. We need to discard anything that hinders us from moving forward because if we are attached to something we own or are unwilling to surrender things that are unnecessary, our trip would be delayed or end prematurely.We would never reach our destination, and the result of such poor cultivation would be that all our energy and effort are wasted.
The two objectives for the cultivation of a Chanyuan Celestial are very clear: the first is to lead a happy, joyful, free, and blessed life, and the second is to extend their LIFE to heaven: Thousand Year World,Ten Thousand Year World, and Elysium World.
The only way to reach these goals is to initiate a new era for humankind where, “the talented will be put to good use and the whole world will be one family”, “no one would pocket anything found on the ground and doors are not bolted at night”, and everything is in harmony and the weather is very pleasant. This is also an era when all citizens of the earth will enjoy happiness and freedom. What we do to realize this dream is embodied in the building of the Lifechanyuan cause, especially the Second Home. In short, helping to build Lifechanyuan is the best way to self-cultivate.
“The difficult problems of the world must be dealt with while they are yet easy; the great problems of the world must be dealt with while they are yet small”. If we do not focus our efforts on small things, we will not be able to realize our beautiful dreams, and if we do not combine theory with practice or if we say one thing but do another, we will only be cheating ourselves and others. That is the trick of the wicked.
We need to light the sacred lamps in our hearts, otherwise, where and how should we go?
How do we light the lamp?
Trust in the Greatest Creator.
Trust Jesus Christ, Buddha Sakyamuni, Lao Tzu and Prophet Muhammad.
Trust reality, science, logic, and your spiritual perception.
Trust the road map given by the spiritual guide, Xuefeng.
If we do not have the above trusts, we are not lighting the sacred lamps in our hearts.
Whoever finds it too difficult to embrace these trusts is suggested not to apply for a Chanyuan Celestial. Whoever is one is invited to surrender their title and follow what they feel is a better, more suitable path. Do not waste your precious time and the energy of the Second Home.
Be very clear about what you want. “The Sage embraces the One and becomes the model of the world”. We will not desire everything and be greedy; we will not want both a raincoat and an umbrella. We will not live a new life while still wanting to keep a traditional lifestyle and we will not have everything while still possessing personal property or any person. We shall not walk on the Way of the Greatest Creator while still straddling onto other paths.
“Clever people may be victims of their own cleverness”. One who does not listen to the teachings of Jesus Christ will not reach the Kingdom of the Greatest Creator and those who do not listen to the teachings of Buddha Sakyamuni will never reach the Elysium World. Anyone who does not listen to the teachings of Lao Tzu will not evolve into a Celestial and those who do not walk according to the road map of the spiritual guide will not get to the Thousand Year Word, the Ten Thousand Year World,or the Celestial Islands Continent - one of the Elysium World.

And consciously sweep the dust and stainson your soul just like wiping off the dust on a mirror; let your mind and behaviours exhibit towards the direction of sincerity, kindness, beauty, love, faith and honesty.Then we need work hard on the core of self-cultivation,putting efforts on shifting our consciousness, let our mind go into “non-material world”- although our body residents on the earth, our mind stays in heaven. From this step we can further come to the Second Home, experience the newlifestyle copied from “Thousand-year world”. And practiceChanyuan meditation, in this way, you can go to “Thousand-year world”; if you want to go to “Ten-thousand-year world” instead, you should grasp the secrets of eight ways of thinking, once you , you can surely go to “Ten-thousand-year world”; However, if you don’t want to stop there, you need to understand the eight secrets of LIFE thoroughly, once you reach that stage, you are able to go to “Elysium world” at any time.

Confucius is most worthy of respect as a Chinese national thinker and moral leader. His educational theories are especially praiseworthy. However, it would be more of a disaster than a blessing for China to continue regarding him as a saint and promoting him as such to the outside world. First of all, Confucius understood benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, and credibility, and to be gentle, benign, modest, thrifty, and courteous, but he had no regard for Tao. That is to say, Confucius focused only on the branches and leaves, but attached no significance to the roots. However hard he tried, he never strove to reach the faith nor the virtue of being a mortal human. This is why he had regrets, as can be inferred from The Analects of Confucius: Li Ren, namely that having heard Tao in the morning, one may die content in the evening. Confucius never understands Tao, even to his death.Secondly, Confucius despised laborers and regarded them as inferior beings.
It was written in, The Analects of Confucius :Zi Lu, that his student, Fan Chi once suggested to Confucius that he should learn to plant crops, but Confucius answered him, “I am not as good as the farmers”. Once again Fan Chi asked him to learn to grow vegetables, but Confucius again answered him, “I am not as good as vegetable growers”. After Fan Chi exited, Confucius denigrated him by saying, ”What an inferior person Fan Chi is! Superior people can be courteous but ordinary people will have to revere them, superior people can be righteous but ordinary people will have to obey them, and superior people can be credible but common people will certainly love them. In that way, the common people will always take refuge with their own children, so why would I ever need to or want to do as they do, to plant crops?” How can one who looks down upon the laborers bring blessings China?
Worse than that, Confucius was unkind. When Fan Chi asked him for advice, not only did Confucius not facilitate his student earnestly and patiently to his face, but he even belittled his student as being “inferior”. Does this kind of “teacher” deserve to be one at all?
As he was wrong macroscopically, it would be to no avail, no matter how hard he strove. He was confused macroscopically, but prudent microscopically. With the development of modern society, Confucius needs to retire!

Chanyuan celestials accept things and circumstances as they are, make peace with whomever enters into their lives, take action by listening to their inner voices, and take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
Chanyuan celestials prefer the collective life and do not want to take ownership of anything or anyone. They regard hard work and diligence as good qualities and would hate to be lazy, greedy, jealous, or possessive.
“It is because the sage does not live for himself that his Self is realized”. Chanyuan celestials take this as their motto and devote themselves wholeheartedly to the cause of initiating the Lifechanyuan era, so as to pay off their “debts” on earth and accumulate their “treasure” in heaven.

Getting Hurt is because You Have a "self"

In our lifetime, we always feel being hurt; sadness and pain are torturing us. We are depressed and angry; we grumble at or hate others. Sometimes we feel so disappointed at life and we are in deep despair. Many times, we feel hurt and cannot smile, and we feel very blue, we want to quarrel, fight and are resistent; we even think of ending our lives.
Interpersonal relationships are difficult. We always feel deeply hurt just because of one inappropriate word, action, face expression, behaviour, request or arrangement. And therefore we worry and are depressed; we do not have appetite for food and cannot sleep at night.
All hurt, whether is mental or spiritual, the root cause lies not in the outside; it lies in ourselves. The core reason is because we put too much focus on ourselves; we have very high self-esteem and vanity; we want to preserve our dignity and face, and we are too much attached to the values and world view which we think are “right”.
There is a saying in Tao Te Ching, "We have fears because we have a self, when we do not regard that self as self, what have we to fear?" Because we have "self", and put it in the foremost position, this "self" is easy to get hurt, if we do not have "self", where does the hurt come from? People always say "One who does not want anything can get well with anybody; one who does not drink would not care how expensive the wine is". If our "self" has no requests and desires, we will feel happy anywhere, in any situations and will have good relationship with people. As long as our "self" has desires and want to hold or preserve something, we will get hurt.
Therefore, Lao Tzu taught us to be “no action”, and “no fight”, “Because he does not contend, no one in the world can contend against him”. And Buddha Sakyamuni taught us to “free from ego and form”. We need to be in a state that “our mind does not reside on anything” and “carefree”. If we do not have “self”, we see peace everywhere; if we have “self”, there are many obstacles on the way.
Without “self”, we get Self; with “self”, we lose Self. If we value ourselves too much, and put too much weight on our dignity, vanity and our own feeling, and we love ourselves too much, we will be very easily to get frustrated and encounter setbacks.
We are already blessed to be a Chanyuan Celestial, we are blessed to live in the Second Home, and we are blessed to walk on the way to Thousand-year world, Ten-thousand-year world and Elysium world, what else are we not willing to let go? Are those not enough? What else should we fight for?
Give up our selves, let it go; let also go our “opinions” and “viewpoints”, we will see a beautiful scene before us. As long as we let the “self” go, our heart will never get hurt.
Please be reminded that if you always get hurt, that means you still have a long way to go, and you still do not understand the meaning of life and LIFE. That also means that you are not enlightened yet, and you have not stepped on the road to heaven; if you always get hurt, you will never accomplish the best result of self-cultivation, and you will never be eligible to enter heaven.
