Hi,Doina Bird, Festival Internacional de Televisón de Barcelona is inviting directors of all ages to submit your children and youth productions and participate in the 13th edition of the Barcelona International Television Festival (FITB) to be held November 10- 12, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 13 p.m. and from 15p.m. to 18p.m., with the closing ceremony the 13th. As always we are interested in documentaries, animations, TV programmes and series from around the World that form, entertain and educate. There is no entry fee and we offer the prestigious UNICEF PRIZE and CREATIVE PRIZE. Screenings incluye productions the Audiovisual Service of the Department of Education of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia and the SHOWCASE OF NEWS BULLETINS, COMMERCIALS AND FICTION VIDEOS from the Blanquerna School, Ramón LLull University. This is a good opportunity for filmmakers and production companies to showcase their work in Spain and share it with enthusiastic young audiences along with media professionals. Every year we collaborate with educators so that groups of school children get to see a wide range of international films that are 60 minutes or less, that they may not otherwise be able to access. We request that films that are not in Spanish be subtitled in Spanish or English. Hi,Erga Sonnenberg from Argentina is inviting young people to promote children's rights. Since 2005, 'A minute for my rights' (Un minuto por mis derechos) has brought creative children together to make one-minute films. Over 2,000 young people aged 12 to 21 from various backgrounds have participated in the project over the past four years. Most live in impoverished areas of the country and have limited opportunities for creative expression.During one recent five-month period, a group of participants learned technical and visual skills, and then used them to create and produce a series of one-minute videos. I receveid an email by http://listenup.orginviting you to submit your films or videos to the ninth annual Reel Teens Festival.The Festival celebrates the creative intelligence of young people by screening films and videos made by teenagers. This past year 623 entries were received, 42 from foreign countries with 78 finalists being screened over the 3 days of the festival which is held in the Village of Hunter, New York.The film or video entered must be made by a teenager and should not be more the 20 minutes in length.Films or videos may be submitted in any of twelve (12) categories: Fiction, Short Fiction (10 minutes or less), Documentary/ News Magazine, Short Documentary/ News Magazine (10 minutes or less), Video Diary, Animation, Stop Motion Animation, Claymation, Visual Arts, Music Video, Public Service Announcement (PSA).A panel of entertainment industry judges will award trophies and cash prizes for the best in each of the twelve (12) categories.
