Dear Nadira,
Thanks for sharing "Ghazal" music. But where is this Ghazal that you are enjoying? There are 12 songs on your page, all are in English but none of them is Ghazal."Ghazal" is written, according to my knowledge, only in Arabic,Persian,Urdu and Hindi. However,Urdu and Persian Ghazals reached the highest standards.
Ghazal is a Persian word."Ghazzal" mean deer. While "Ghazzala" means female deer.
Literally,Ghazal has two meanings:
1-That tragic and sorrowful voice that is uttered by a deer when hounds capture it and tear it into pieces.
This refers to the topic of the verses in a Ghazal as mostly the pangs of parting or separation from a beloved one are described in them.
2-Ghazal also means to converse with women. It refers to the other topic of the verses of the Ghazal.Mostly the love matters discussion, secret conversation with the beloved is described.
But Ghazal is not confined to these two topics only.In modern Ghazals almost every thing is described.
The poet of the Ghazal has to convey his matters, sentiments and the wishes in just two lines of the verse. There can be seven to ten verses in a Ghazal. But there is no cut and dried rule in this regard.
Dear sister I am sorry for being away those days my new work timetable is a bit busy. I miss you too much and I want to thank you for all the big efforts you are doing in ec. You Karenina and Nadiyah are very active members, we are all grateful and thankful for that.
