First of all I would like to apologize for the delay to answer your questions you had asked last month.
Yes you have rightly under stood that I am a teacher too.I have been teaching in government schools for last twenty two years.There are many designations for teachers in Pakistan.These are for teaching at different levels and require different qualifications.
The teachers who teach to primary classes(1-5) are called P.T.C. teachers. To become a P.T.C. teacher, Matriculation (10 th class )and P.T.C.(Primary Teaching Certificate)are necessary.Then there are E.S.T's(Elementary School Teachers).They teach to elementary classes(6-8).Education up to Intermediate and C.T.(Certificate in Teaching) are required to become an EST teacher.To teach to high school classes(9-10) ,there are SST's(Secondary School Teachers).Graduation and B.Ed.(Bachelor of Education) is required to become an SST.I am an SST.I have done my Masters in Urdu Literature,Political Science and M.Ed.(Master in Education)
All professional courses mentioned above(PTC CT and B.Ed.) are of one year period.However the structure I have mentioned above is not observed strictly because there are middle schools(class1-8) PTC and CT teachers work together here .Their classes sometimes ,are exchanged.Moreover due to unemployment,a teacher of higher level has to work below his level(I myself worked as an EST in a Middle school for six years).
The teachers who teach to 11 and 12 classes are called SS(Subject Specialists).A Master degree in relevant subject plus M.Ed.(Master in Education)are required to become an SS.I shall be(insha allah) an SS in next two years.
I think it is enough for today.
By the way is the picture I am Commenting of that legendary hill on which Hazrat Adam(A.S.),traditionally,was descended?
