Poem: I wandered lonely as a Cloud

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling leaves in glee;
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company!
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Poem: Life is fine

I went down to the river,
I set down on the bank.
I tried to think but couldn't,
So I jumped in and sank.

I came up once and hollered!
I came up twice and cried!
If that water hadn't a-been so cold
I might've sunk and died.

But it was Cold in that water! It was cold!

I took the elevator
Sixteen floors above the ground.
I thought about my baby
And thought I would jump down.

I stood there and I hollered!
I stood there and I cried!
If it hadn't a-been so high
I might've jumped and died.

But it was High up there! It was high!

So since I'm still here livin',
I guess I will live on.
I could've died for love--
But for livin' I was born

Though you may hear me holler,
And you may see me cry--
I'll be dogged, sweet baby,
If you gonna see me die.

Life is fine! Fine as wine! Life is fine!

Ode to Joy : Beethoven

O friends, no more these sounds!
Let us sing more cheerful songs,
more full of joy!
Joy, bright spark of divinity,
Daughter of Elysium,
Fire-inspired we tread
Thy sanctuary.
Thy magic power re-unites
All that custom has divided,
All men become brothers
Under the sway of thy gentle wings.
Whoever has created
An abiding friendship,
Or has won
A true and loving wife,
All who can call at least one soul theirs,
Join in our song of praise;
But any who cannot must creep tearfully
Away from our circle.
All creatures drink of joy
At nature's breast.
Just and unjust
Alike taste of her gift;
She gave us kisses and the fruit of the vine,
A tried friend to the end.
Even the worm can feel contentment,
And the cherub stands before God!
Gladly, like the heavenly bodies
Which He set on their courses
Through the splendor of the firmament;
Thus, brothers, you should run your race,
As a hero going to conquest.
You millions, I embrace you.
This kiss is for all the world!
Brothers, above the starry canopy
There must dwell a loving Father.
Do you fall in worship, you millions?
World, do you know your creator?
Seek him in the heavens;
Above the stars must He dwell.

Being Polite

Evolution meant an overall development of humans. Nonetheless we have been long deviated from that path. We have grown sick of our kind. Oftentimes we denigrate fellow human for who they are.

Being polite these days is so rare that it is often confused as flirting

It has became so rare that you may have to face an unpleasant and awkward moment or confrontation. Emotionally we have lagged behind in developing ourselves. An affable and cordial person who speaks politely is facing alienation for being a gentleman/woman. Not long ago, I witnessed this situation personally. These are more common in social media and Internet chatrooms. If you speaks graciously you'll be seldom looked upon as an eminent person. Why it happens? There is no concrete describable reason. Withal we can narrow it down to some extent. Many times it's how people perceive others and their past experiences dealing with impolite, boastful and deceitful person.

It highly unlikely that the person who is sending us messages or acting godly maybe a phony. I don't deny that there aren't such people but the thing is we use same set of arguments to determine everyone. Everyone is unique. Remember. Just because someone did something bad to you doesn't mean everyone is alike. Give it a try. Maybe you'll find a good friend, partner, acquaintance in that person.

Don't judge people without knowing them. It's always utilitarian to get to know them.

Music - A way to learn English

Of late I have been listening a great deal of music. During lockdown it has proved to be my savior- a Knight in shining armor. Unimaginable, how I would have survived staying in without melody. Thought I should shed light on what role music plays in our lives.  Although there are many pros of listening music, I will be focusing on its transcendence in English learning.

First of all we need to take cognizance that music is not just playing of different instruments in a synchronized manner so that it brings about something soothing for ear. Rather even a bird’s chirp, burble of water, barking of dog is music. As many people are there as many music forms you will find. From medieval era’s folklore to modern times’ rock, hard metal and EDMs (Electronic Dance Music), everything is a masterpiece. We can’t overlook the fact that few songs have beautiful and bodacious lyrics/runes/verses. For example,

Lay down your head and I'll sing you a lullaby
Back to the years of loo-li lai-lay
And I'll sing you to sleep and I'll sing you tomorrow
Bless you with love for the road that you go
May you sail far to the far fields of fortune
With diamonds and pearls at your head and your feet
And may you need never to banish misfortune
May you find kindness in all that you meet

Notice how Junoesque and exquisitely written. Every verse has meaning grandiosely expressed. When you hear the voice, ah, you vanish in a different realm of happiness, calmness, peaceful and beauteous. As you have embargoed on learning English ship, you’ll find many new words which improves your vocabulary. You can even learn grammar. I can guarantee that when you listen music you just don’t listen for the sake of listening. The voice and lyrics fill your heart with all kinds of unknown despair, melancholic and joyous feelings. Why not learn something useful from this? It wouldn’t hurt knowing the words and their uses in different manner which till now you thought are clichéd.

I'm lying wide awake
My head spinning over you
Dark of night, no stars inside
You are dreaming next to me
Afraid to close my eyes,
'cause I don't wanna miss a moment of you
Don't want to dream,no
No dream could be as beautiful as you are
Tell me what have I done to deserve something this beautiful

As the Athenian philosopher Plato had rightly said, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”

Yesterday on 22nd April 2020, most of us would have gotten a call from conscience to save earth, to do our tid-bits to protect mother nature from the disgrace we have caused her. Many might have pledged. Earthlings are not new to this premonition. It has been such for centuries or forbid me; the beginning of human race. Moreover, we are wired thusly to have these inklings, honour our pledge for quite sometime and when all seems to be going smooth as butter: abruptly stop at the first sign of predicament. Quite fashionable way of brouhaha.

Neverthless, as the title might have given a clear notion, it’s time we ask ourselves- Are we obligated to save earth? Conversally, is it our moral duty?

Are we obligated? Yes, we are. We have been luxuriating in nature. Devouring everything from fruits to meat that this sublunary world has offered us. Finding alternatives to everything which doesn't affect the blue sphere we live in, in anyway, should be our primary concern. It's the need of hours. There are 7 billion human soul living in this planet and only handful of people are bearing the burden to save the earth. We are already at eleventh hour. Every passing day we are not working as a team, we are going closer to cataclysm.

Is it our moral duty? Yes. Is it not? Ask yourself what is it that you desire most: life, women, worldly material things. I bet every sane human will answer life. So let's come together and instead of pledging start doing service and not runaway as the trouble comes. Assuredly, it isn't a straightforward path to destiny. However, although this path is completely overwhelmed by mountains, rivers, pebbles, flesh, thorns, it will lead to light. If not, will definitely shows the right path to light.

hasta la vista!
