The language of the universe

The language of the universe, or perhaps, the language of God? What I am talking about here is Mathematics, the smallest element of the universe. I would say that if  there is a God somewhere, his legacy would be mathematics. I do not deny God’s existence, but relations and patterns that mathematics can describe so well makes we wonder, Where does mathematics come from and how was it created? I am not a believer of the God described in the Quran nor in the Bible, and I am not a Atheist since I do not agree with the arguments like “God doesn’t exist because science explains the cosmos without him.”. Cosmos are far from “explained”, so I usually say that I am an agnostic.

People in school are often taught how to solve mathematical problems, over and over again. That is why people say mathematics are boring. The problem is that we do not learn to understand it properly, nor how to apply mathematics into areas where we have an interest. I have taken many mathematics classes, but it was not before my second year at university where I finally used mathematics where I needed it.

The reason that I brought up this is because that if we want to understand this thing called “The universe”, we need to advance in mathematics. Imagine if everyone knew math as good as your second language? We would be able to progress so much. And for you believers who are reading this, I would say that a step of progress in mathematics, is a step closer to God. Maybe that is the challenge that he gave us when he placed us here on Earth.
