Moravian Slovak - The Land of My Birth (Writing Challenge)
I was born in little sweaty town Hodonín, sometimes called “Goding”. Hodonín “city” is spread in hearth of Moravian Slovak region, at southeast of Moravian territory (N 48°51'12" E 17° 04' 31"). Hodonínsko is micro region with a flat terrain, wind sand and pines/oak forests. It is famous for wine yards and wine cellars all around there. Most of opportunities for grooving plants (because very good weather condition there) making this one like main weekend hobby for whole family – the gardening.
This is not only about garden near your house take place on our yard, but people usually get a bike or car and ride numbers of kilometers to garden’s colonies for an active rest. Just use the GPS coordinates and google maps for look at - https://www.google.com/maps/@48.850953,17.0988523,240m/data=!3m1!1e3 – this is typical suburb of towns on Moravian Slovak region.
Yes, my family has one garden too. More than half of people from region live in block of flats. It is typical lifestyle – just bus – work – concretehouse – still the same every day and weekend get a car and drive on garden. It is old habit of age industry revolution – people used to worked during days in factories, and, evening’s time were spend for care about their own keep.
So, the Land of My Birth = Land of My childhood, I feel that I belong in my homeland, but unfortunately I have to work 200 miles far…
