I want ask about the difference between usage the 

 prepositions  ( to & into ) to express  the result of an action when can i  use each one to express that?

for ex:

 

She tore the letter to pieces

 

She tore the letter into pieces

 

which correct and why

watch your back: that means to be careful of what is happening around you

 

Examples:

1. You'd better watch your back at work. A lot of people want your position.

Memory of Rescue Team in Tropical Island
