Dear English teachers, please share the methods which you use in teaching Reading.
Hello friends. Can you help me with an article or a book about Decontextualizing and teaching grammar in context. And exactly teaching grammar in context/ reading. Thank you in advance.
Once up on a time there was a giant oak tree which grew besides a river. one day a rainstorm broke out and uprooted it. While it was floating down a river, it noticed some reeds which were growing near the bank, and cried out of them, "My Goodness"! How did it come that such small plants as you have managed withstand the rainstorm, while i haven't?
"It was easy enough", answered the reeds. " Why did you stand stubbornly stiffly against storms as you did? look at us, we bowed down to wind and storms when they broke out in order to let them pass. So we saved ourselves from their violence. " You have only yourself to blame," the reeds added.
Adapted from Jean de La Fontaine's Fables.
Sometimes we have to bow and to give up in order to save what is more important in our lives, to keep our beloved ones safe. however, in some cases we have stand strong to face the storms to save our dignity and respect, because to be uprooted and killed is much more better than being hurt and loose respect. dignity is priceless.
