My eating habits

I write this in the hope that somebody will have a look at it and
give a feedback how I could improve my skills regarding the wording
as well as the grammar.

Thank you for comments in advance.

My Eating Habits

Being at home means to me to take care about eating and drinking.
I try to limit my calorie intake to around 1500kcal every day.
Furthermore I force myself to walk almost 2 hours per day.
As a result of this I burn off about 500kcal of my food and liquid intake.
At my age and at my weight my daily calorie consumption amount is roughly 2200kcal. Considering all the circumstances I have a net loss of 1200kcal every day and therefore I loose weight.
On birthday parties or other parties as well as on holidays I don't worry
about eating and drinking.
After all, to me putting on weight and loosing weight are in a good Balance
and I feel very fine doing so.
My only problem is that the yummiest food has the most calories, so it's
a hard way at times to limitate or avoid the consume of this stuff.

The gorgeous scenery of steep slopes on both sides is impressive. The slopes facing to the north
are covered with thick forests.

The slopes facing to the south are covered with winegrowing. The steepest vineyard in the world is the
"Calmont Vineyard".

The Riesling grape is the highest quality wine grape of the Mosel. It's a wine of finesse and elegance which is famous in the whole world.
The best Riesling grape grows on the steep slopes. The soil is porous slate which retains the heat of the sun.

The steep slopes along with the porous slate are dangerous for workers while tending the vines.

Fatalities among the workers are reported almost every year.

The vineyard owners offer there wine in wine taverns. In every small wine village you can find
lots of those taverns where you can taste the wine and decide which one is your most preferable.

At late evening you will find always a cosy  athmosphere with friendly and casual conversation.

There are a lot of old castles scattered upon the hilltops on both sides of the river. One of the most
famous is the "Reichsburg" at the city of "Cochem". Another one is the ruin oft the "Burg Metternich" covering the fairytale village of "Beilstein".
The amount of all these impressiones will impose every visitor. Who ever is planing a journey
through Europe or Germany should consider an excursion to this wonderful places.
If maybe anybody already has been there I would be curious whether  this interesting place has
pleased to him.
I'm looking forward for comments.

Thank you for your courtesy to read this text.

Greetings from Germany

Hi there. With this script I want indroduce to you one of my favorite place in Germany.
A part of the river "Mosel".
More than 60 years ago a was born in the vicinity of this area.  I'm now retired
and trying to improve my English skills which have been worsen in the last years.
So, if there are mistakes in the words or grammar I would welcome every correction.
I hope you will not hesitate to do so.
The River *Mosel*
The source of the river is in France. It is flowing through 3 countries: France, Luxembourg and Germany.
It joins the river "Rhine" at the city of Koblenz.

In Germany the river is winding extremely in all cardinal directions and embedded in steep slopes.

The part of the river I want to write about is located nearby the City of "Cochem".

In this part the river represents its beautiful landscape and wine-growing area..

As a populare tourist destination it attracts lots of visitors from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

They all appreciate the richness of offered free time activities. Hiking, cycling and water sports are the most populare among them all.
Hiking paths in the uplands around the river as well as trails along the river banks inviting lots of hikers. Cyclists can choose among mountain biking and biking excursiones on cycleways on both sides of the
river.
