Couples and couples and couples all over the world.
While I am the very single one .
Alone. Never lonely, however.
It’s just one of the 365 days in the year, nothing special.
When you think you should do something romantic with the one in this day, while, congratulations, you are still someone believes fairy tale. Nothing bad, and even much better than those who are so worldly-wise. With a heart which keeps glad to believe, to trust, to love, and to be enthusiastic, you will be permanent young, and this is the secret of keeping away from boredom of life.
I love Chinese traditional festivals, including tomb-sweeping festival, dragon boat festival, mid-autumn day, and of course, the spring festival. These festivals are all contained with beautiful memories of the whole Chinese, and inherited by generations in China.
While I was still a little girl, I am always looking forward to the festivals, which means traditional delicious food, or new dressing-sort of silly, right? But the most important thing is the atmosphere in the days, which will be in my memory forever. Warm, cozy, and full of love, from which you can gain strength to fight against failures or adversities every time.
Comparatively, Chinese cherish more love among family. It’s generally accepted that a stable family is better than anything else. That also is the destination of majority Chinese hard work.
This is a result from unconsciously influence by traditions. And I appreciate this form of education.
Whereas, as time goes on, some of the younger generation has a faded impression of traditional festivals. What a woe.
We keep busy making a living, neglecting some more important things. Soul, spirit, for example. We have been concentrating on desire of our body, rather than our heart. And I am afraid that it would bring disasters to Chinese traditional culture. A culture would be worldwide only when it is a national one. We Chinese have so many treasures but have no mind to cherish or carry them forward. While, several years later, maybe Fewer and fewer young men would know how the Chinese Valentine’s Day comes, but just consider it as a copy of western Valentine’s Day.
As a saying goes, forgetting means betrayal. And I believe that the older generation will be distressed to see the loss of the precious culture, and so would the younger generation when they become mature enough.
So, Happy Chinese Valentine’s day!
