Mr. A (at the inquiry window) : Is train to Mumbai expected to arrive on its scheduled time?
Attendant: No sir, it will be about half an hour late today.
Mr. A: Ok. Is there a place to keep my luggage?
Attendant: Sir, there is no such facility, however, there is a rest room where you can rest and keep your luggage also.
Mr. A: Ok. Where is this rest room?
Attendant: Go straight and after about 100 ft you will come across rest room to the right side.
Mr. A: Is there any charge for it?
Attendant: No it is free facility. However, you need to enter your name into a register kept there and show your railway ticket.
Mr. A: I understand. Thank you very much for the help. Have a good time.
Operator: Welcome sir

Sir,where is the rest room? or where is this rest room? which one is correct...
In the dialog, rest room is in context to the earlier statement of the attendant. `The` is used to to show a particular thing. Using `The` here is also correct.
