The story follows Gregor Samsa, a traveling salesman who works to provide for his parents and sister. One morning he awakens to find that he has been transformed into a monstruous insect. He is unable to work and becomes a claustrophile, attached to closed-in spaces. Since he can no longer support the family, they begin working again.
passive character who lives in a world where he is strange with himself and others. Course of government administrative system of the time has a large share in this feeling that Gregor has.he force to leave his dreams and his talents for his fathers 's bankrupts and become another person who is strange with his others even with his self .Gregor is a victim of the modern industrial system.people has known him when he work in the society.

Franz Kafka is one of my favorite writers, I love enigmatic worlds that he creates in his books.

Dear Sima, I love this short story but I wouldn't like to read it again. This is a great opus that can be recommended only for healthy, ballanced adult people only. It is dagnerous for depressed people. Manily if they really understand it. With love, Kacika.
Dear Kacika I have heard when Franz Kafka finished the writing story ,he and his friend get into pack and read the story together and laugh at it a lot .
When I read this story I have been 19 years old .But I think I need to read this book again or being all crazy :P
