GOOD VS BAD

hi everybodyonce in a class discussion i was faced with a question which is hard for me to find a definite answer to it:"what is your criterion for calling sth (an object,action,attitude,etc) good or bad?"is there a single and perfect rule for it or it depends on individuals?in my idea there must be one rule for it,but another question is that how to find and follow this rule?i will be glad if you share your ideasBEST wishes for ALL:)

    I think some issues are bad everywhere no matter where you are or what culture you have such as telling lie, killing somone, betraying and etc. These are all bad and all people agree on that. But, some of them are bad while in other culture are good. For example, in North Pole, the man gives his wife to the guest to show his hostibility but this action is so bad in other cultures.

    i have a question:if there is no unique rule,don't we then have chaos? (because everyone has his/her points of views and everyone is selfish in thinking about taking advantage of his/her freedom to call sth good or bad)

    thanks for your kind words.
    i wonder if there is no single rule for good & bad why we have laws all over the world which avoid criminals (we call them so) from doing their BAD actions. maybe in their opinion their deeds are good.
    would you share your idea?

    but i have another question:why is this universe so systematic & full of rules (like in Physics,Chemistry,etc)which control the nature?don't you think there must be a unique rule for good & bad as well?
