annother instance my best freinds down the road street neighbour,, stashes her money in a known internatiuonal Bank,, i think its HSBC.. of course well dressed... gets back to worik begging wearing shabby clothes... of course thanks to this she had supposed to have built a house a good one ... thats all i know to do that... imagination wanders the investments...

of course there a re fair share of destitutes too.. means of poverty driven to the streets
  • its pathetic when one loses self esteem. there should be a way to help the needy to stand on ones own feet. giving money to healthy,, yet lazy people is pathetic
  • Thanks for precious comment

Dear Salem! You sure know that I like your turn of mind. I like the discussions you start. They make people think and I am thankful for your taking active part in my group.

As to your question. Well, in Kiev most of beggars pretend to be them. It is such kind of business. There is always someone who organizes so called beggars and allow them to beg here or there for the appropriate fee. We all know about that. They "earn" really good money, many of them have expensive apartments, cars, etc. However, we are not indifferent to poverty and suffering. I have seen some people who called my true sympathy. Let me tell everyone about them. One of them was an old but very intelligent woman. It was obvious that she had had very good life during the Soviet times. She was not capable of begging. So, she gathered and tried to sell flowers. Many people felt like I did and bought those flowers trying to pay more although those flowers were not good at all. Another guy I'd like to tell about was a former serviceman. He was legless and blind. He usually set in the underground crossing in downtown playing guitar and singing and he sang very well. There was always a crowd around him. Sure, I can't pass by such people. They touch my feelings.

But today is New Year and I wish there wouldn't be people who have to beg to live.
