"Impossible, Mr. Bennet, impossible, when I am not acquainted with him myself;"
Acquainted /əˈkweɪn.tɪd/
knowing or being familiar with a person:
"We are not in a way to know what Mr. Bingley likes,'' said her mother resentfully, "since we are not to visit."
resentful /rɪˈzent.fəl/
".... till the evening after the visit was paid, she had no knowledge of it. It was then disclosed in the following manner."
disclose /dɪˈskləʊz/
It is a verb means to make something known publicly, or to show something that was hidden.
- Several companies have disclosed profits of over £200 million.
- The police have disclosed that two officers are under internal investigation.
My own example:
- In every hidden things, the truth will be disclosed at the end.
"I do not know how you will ever make him amends for his kindness"
Amends
plural noun
Is it a noun or a verb?
Or maybe it can be both?!
Amends is a noun, but amend can be a verb.
