Hi, everyone. I am extremely happy when being the first one to start my discussion on this group. Before starting, we should be grateful to Ramona for creating such a good group so that we can update a lot of good, hot news as well as current affairs from different countries.
As a teacher-to-be, I will begin my discussion with a piece of news related to pedagogical field. It is about an old Vietnamese teacher named Ho Xuan Thanh who has retired since 2008. In Vietnam, people regard teachers as boatmen, and students are customers on their boats. Though retiring for several years, he does not allow himself to have a rest because children in his poor hometown do not have chance to take extra class to improve their knowledge. Therefore, he opened a free class to teach poor students.
Under his training, more than 200 students have come to his class, and they have improved a lot. He said, "I just inspired them with passion for learning. That's all". I totally agree with the respectable old teacher because students need to be inspired to learn well.
Mr. Ho Xuan Thanh is one among many devoted teachers who excellently fulfill their roles of being boatmen. I admire him very much and consider him as a good model for my future career.
Finally, thank everyone for your reading my discussion.
