Someone's using your information.

What will you do if you found out that someone whom you trust had used your name and given a wrong information about yourself? Then, when it was time for you to identify yourself you were questioned about that wrong information given by the person whom you trust. This happened in actual life, not in the internet. Please share with me your opinion.

  • I think that person want to joke with me. That's his right. You can't obligate them to do or not to do that. Our belief about them will be decreased. You can do anything you think and you want to do with them. If you still trust them, you maybe have your private thought and decision. Or you still want to be a friend with them.

  • Thank you very much for your comment. I appreciate it so much.

How will one know the right person to trust? Is our life comparable to a game of chance?

This action if it hapened from someone you trust him, this is mean that maybe you select the rong man or this someone is not held any responsiblity,or he doesn't want you to succes in your life, or maybe he complaine of any emotional distres and selfesh disease.
  • OMG, I felt sad about your story but my case was done by someone I trust. I felt like showing my authenticated documents when I heard of what the lady asked me really. I felt so sad and bad because I just kept on forgiving that same person. Would you believe that same person even used my signature before?

It's really good to hear your side of the story. I never had imagined that it's happening in the personnel section/hiring department.

Anthoni, I really hope and pray that you'll find a better work than that.

    Thanks again. -Lynne-

I can't agree more. It happens all the time. Let me share an anecdote.
I will jump to the point, it happened not while ago. I was looking for teller position at any bank.
After applaying in many banks, i finally heard from one, CitiBank. I had a short interview over the phone. The person, i spoke with was Johan. Johan took all my personal information; name, address, and phone numbers. At the end of the interview, i was told that i will hear from them in a week. I waited for three weeks and nothing happened. I got curious and called the bank to find out about what could have happened? When i called, i introduced myself and asked why i did not recieve any phone call, if i was told that i will get one. She kindly said, hold on one second and let me check in the computer. For what i can see here, you already had your second interview and you passed. We are waiting for your DrugTest and you will be ready rock n roll. I was like what? When? How?
There must have been some mistake because i have not recieved or talked with any one yet. I was told that i will recieved a phone call, which i have not recieved. The laidy on the phone was confused and put me on hold. There i was waiting and trying to figure out what could have gone wrong? the laidy got back and said; uhmm, i'm really sorry. The person you spoke with was Johan right? i answered, Yes! Johan typed your phone number incorrectly and called another Anthoni, who was also applying for the same position, and thought that you were him. I'm really sorry, but we regret to inform you that there is no more vacancy open. I'm really sorry for this missunderstanding.

Unfortunately, I could not get the teller position.

If there is any grammar mistake, please feel free to correct me. Thanks
  • Thank you Bob. I will be honest with you, it happened to me. I was surprised really and had no idea about that. When the lady cleared with me a particular information, I knew right away who did it. I think that person really won't change. Sometimes, it's almost unthinkable/unexpected that a 40 year old person would do that.
    Thanks Bob.

That person needs to be held responsible for that act of deceit. If it was at school, or with family, or with the legal system, the person must learn that this is wrong. Maybe this first time was not so serious, but this is the kind of thing that hurts others and can make someone into a criminal in the eyes of the law.

Only the person who was hurt may know the actual truth this time.
In that case the person who violated her trust must be confronted and warned that if this happens again there will be no hiding it. It is not helping to cover up the bad action unless the person is truly sorry and will never do it again. Sometimes getting caught and punished is the best thing for someone before they go too far toward the side of doing wrong.
