Hi everybody...here is my first discussion.i hope that this is the beginning of a series of discussion by me in which i would like to put a verse from the Holy Koran here so that we talk about it.as you know the first verse of Koran is:"In the Name of Allah ,the Beneficent,the Merciful".
why does Allah start such an important book with this sentence?what is the mystery behind these words?how important is it?i would like you to discuss about this verse both literally and about its meaning as well.

this verse is the essence of Koran.all Koran is sent to us for our GUIDANCE;when God states that He is All-Beneficent it means that He shows the right path to all of His slaves without any single exception;when He states that He is All-Merciful He means that He has provided a SPECIAL guideline for the ones who WANTS to be among the best slaves.
so we are all the audience of Koran;for God is AL-RAHMAN.
but if one WANTS to be a top slave for His Lord,God has provided a SPECIAL GIFT for him/her;for He is AL-RAHIM.
in our everyday life we see that if someone wants to be the best in the duty he/she is supposed to do,at first he/she tries to find a good supporter;a good consultant;a good companion who consoles him/her in difficulties;SO WHO IS BETTER,MORE POWERFUL,MORE MERCIFUL TO US THAN ALLAH?!HERE IS THE BEST SUPPORTER;IT IS UP TO YOU TO CHOOSE HIM OR NOT!

hi zahra good topic and nice picture. as we know that "Bismillahirahmanirrahim" is very Important to start all of our activities. because Allah have everything.Bismillah it mean I start my work in the name of Allah or I start to do something in the name of Allah (Bismillah). Bismillah have intention because of Allah in all of activities. If we read this sentence our work will weight and value of worship.
Bismillah is essence of the names of Allah.
in this sentences there are 3 name : Allah, Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim. according Ibnu Al-Qayyim, the name of this three are resume from all meaning the names of Allah. essence from three series of the name teach us for make Allah as the only goal in all activities with the spirit His name is Rahman and Rahim.
and If we read Basmallah spoken by a pure heart the body will be responded with the spirit of work-based world. but If the word is spoken verbally from a broken heart, the expression basmalah will not give any influence on the body.Perhaps the expression of only the expression, but the work of that day certainly did not describe the sound his/her conscience.

i do agree with you;God has the absolute power;if we consider Him as the only one on whom we can rely,then we must begin every moment of our lives with His name;for beginning with His name shows that we are just after His will.when we remember His name in the beginning of every task we wanna do,we won't go through a wrong path and we are supported all the time by Allah through our task which is going to be done just for the sake of Allah.
so God wants to teach us the most important lesson of our lives;TO KEEP HIS NAME/MEMORY IN OUR MIND ALL THE TIME. TO BEGIN WITH HIS NAME MEANS WE REMEMBER WHO WE ARE AND WHO IS THE BEST OF ALL.
