Why I Should Join To "New Words Daily"?

If you are one of these, please join to "A New Word Daily" group:
  • You feel that you have a lot of ideas in your mind, but you can't express them in a good way because of your lack of vocabulary.
  • You feel that you are poor in Vocabulary and you need to learn more and more vocabularies.
  • You have a good knowledge in English Vocabulary, but you don't know how to use them.
In this group, I give a hint for a word with three examples. The hint includes the first letter and how many letters it is. At the end, I give a word’s definition then I ask for that word. The members' duty is to say what that word is. The first-three members who answer correctly will get a score. At the end of each month, there is one solely winner whose name will be mentioned in MyEC's Newsletter!

  • Ah! Thank you SkØØN, I was thinking I had written so bad that anybody could understand and later Natiq wrote with red letters "Improve your English", myself confidence flew up:-( hopefully, the dog wasn't barking while it was diving in Oxford pages:–)

By the way, Oksana dear, what's the name of your beloved pet which loves also hedgehogs?

    ·J·

  • Well, yes, I really need a hand. :D So, it could be a great idea if the members agree. Now, let me explain this award for you Syubi, and others as well. The winner will get the chance to determine the new word once per week. She/He sends me the word with its example and meaning privately, and then I will post it next day. ;) I think this would help the winner him/her self in remembering his/her own words.

Oh, since I like Javier's sentence "Maybe she would need a helping hand, want you?", what about one word every three days?! Not every week?! :D. I am awaiting for your comments on this!

And by the way, I am a girl. :)

  • Hi SkØØN, Syubi and Oksana

I can't remember the last time I've started to laugh out loud reading a comment, so thank you Oksana–D your comment is very funny, maybe I need to talk with your dog after its comeback, perhaps it could  help me with my expressions and grammar.

Syubi, are you pulling my hair out? I know sometimes I'm like a bull (bald) in a China shop, but you can reject the idea, want you?…’) Remember, SKØØN do not need to use a word EVERY DAY, SHE need to use it once in a week, but the average is 4 weeks each month, isn't it? Maybe she would need a helping hand, want you?–)

By the way, I'm not changing any rule, I've suggested a new award, there's a slight difference that your dog could appreciate;–D

SKØØN! What could I say? I hope you are laughing too!

    ˚J˘

P.S. I have a knack for putting my foot in my mouth, so if I need to curb…

  • Lol, Skoon, who are you? People got puzzled. :D
Anyway, I accept the new rules if you accept them. Let me tell you how this happened.

Well... You know what, guys? My Dog and me read these debates out loud and even twice... We couldn't believe, Javier is already changing the rules! But then my Dog who always dreamt about awards from dog's exibitions imagined how it'd be if he win here. He barked nothing, just looked at me for a moment and dissapeared as a bullet in the direction of Oxford. I guess he ran for the newest Oxford dictionary or the grammar book, I don't know exactly. One word, judging from my Dog's reaction, he got ardor from the new rules and hence he didn't mind.

Remembering what he did with the wings of one Angel, I don't mind accepting the new rules. Arguing with my Dog may be a great deal expensive. %)

As the wings just recovered, I must be careful. I prefer to look good in summer. So, I decided to take a conformist position and agree with my Dog about accepting the new rules.

Sorry, Syubi, I must act this way. Circumstances, you know. ;)

Javier, who will keep all these dictionaries? My room is not stretching! :D

  • Honestly, I still don't get it :D :D

But I will read and re-read it again :P

Anyway, I think Skoon is a girl....

  • Heheheh Syubi, are you a liar?-D kidding;-)
    THE SHORTEST ANSWER: SKØØN ;-)
I know I'm always hitting around the bush, but what can I do if I like it?-D Better, what can I do if I can't do it in different way?-))) Well, I try to write a short answer at your query: Avoiding mistakes I think SKØØN is the best to do it (& his friend if someone is helping him) of course hehehehe (inexpensive in goods but not in effort-)4 words makes 12 sentences plus 4 explanations, once each week in a month.
Although the winner could try to do it, who knows? perhaps winner can't, or have not the confidence to do it,or...
Maybe the winner could get the word's meaning also, I'm not sure.
Maybe I need to change my name as "Shutter" %~D here, in my country, we have an expression that is something like: "He is talking as a rolled shutter" meaning here is some body which use three words instead of one, hehehe, & unfortunately writing have no tone, so I use lots of breaks instead of its.
    Syubi, please, don't hate me-)
    'J'
  • Hmm what? I don't understand the idea. So who is going to make a sentence every day with the word given from the winner?

J, use simple English please. You know my vocabulary isn't as rich as yours :S

  • Oh very nice idea Javier. Actually there is a small gift to the winner which is announcing his/her name in the monthly newsletter. But your idea is really wonderful. We may follow it this month. ;). We'll see other member's opinion too. And if you have another suggestion, please share it with us. I like hearing from the members here. This group is not mine alone, it is OURS.

Thanks you for your nice suggestion.

    Waiting for the coming ones.

    ;)
