India is a country of `masses of classes`. It is one of the major concern of the country. The classes here are basically based on religion, caste and languages.
India is a Hindu major country while there are many other religions like Baudhha , jain, sikh, muslim, christens, parsies and the like. Each religion is further divided into classes based on caste and economic status like rich, middle class, lower middle class and the poor.
There are certain castes that enjoy the higher status while there are certain having average and some at lower order of the society. So, India has a very complex structure of class.
The advantage of the class system is taken mainly by politicians. One would wonder to see that there are more than 650 political parties in India. This is one of the most negative aspects of `democracy`. While society is general is now not keen in keeping distance between classes, politics and religions keep the `distance` alive. Each political party is keen in VOTE BANK than progress.
Commercialization has added two more classes.. white collar and blue collar employees. There is great distinction here about these two classes. Very few work for betterment of blue collar class.
Each class works on some principles and they have some typical symptoms. Rich class is more pompous in approach, poor class is happy to stay in the same state, not much keen in learning skills, happy to be in unclean environment and so on.
I feel, the class system here needs a revamp if country wants to protect itself from external aggression. While the class system exists all over the world, here it is `different`.
Having said all this, all come together when there is real need to show strength. Its only politics which `divides and rules` while people in general love and come together. Majority of Indians HATE political class.

My country has a profound motto that is taught to every single student since they started school, the motto is “unity in diversity”, or in ancient local language is “Bhinekka Tunggal Ika”. And those words are written in our country’s symbol, the strong bird, Garuda.
I’m so blessed born in a beautiful country, Indonesia. Indonesia is an archipelago compromising thousands of islands, blessed with fertile lands with so many vegetative. Many cultures, many languages, traditions, and of course with diversity in social classes of people.
Mostly are Moslems, and the others from the most are, Christians, Catholics, Buddhas, Hindus, and other religions. In my country, where some people have already gone abroad, study in top universities, but there are still even more people are uneducated, with low education, or even can not read, something is uncommon in developed country. And this kind of diversity you still can find in the capital city, moreover in small city. Nearly 50% are in adequate, but there are people who only earn below $1/day, and they have to feed their family. Some places are developed with great buildings, but some place even don’t have electricity, and they don’t know about modern clothes. Many people are really modern, but there are also people who live a simple live, in simple way, and with a simple mind.
That’s why, Indonesia has that motto. Our country is big, so many people. We are different, not the same, but deep in our heart, we have to learn to unite despite of our differences, and contribute together for this country.
That’s why our people love festival. From the culture to religion festival. Because at that moment we forget about our social and economic status and everybody join in the fun with the festive.
Although, it cannot be denied, there are still racism, pressure to the minority. But I see my country is struggling to be more democratic, and respect differences and see them as the value of our country. Not much, but I hope so it will.
