hi guys, first of all, let me introduce my self. i'm Nuril, an english teacher from Indonesia. i teach elementary school and private high school. these both level is very contrast, children and teenagers. based on my experience, teaching children sometimes is easy, because we can conduct and distribute the lesson easily since they r still pure and not interfered much from outside and also most of them obey and respect us as a teacher. while teaching teenager is challenging and interesting, since they know what they want and need. they often interrupt and criticize during the lesson. but i like it, coz i feel that my class is more alive and active.

I know what you say... I think this is not only with you because I had sts like those here too. This age is kinda difficult to deal with. But don't give up!!! =)
Continue doing your work like you do, take movies they like to watch, songs they usually listen to and try to teach using tools which can motivate them. Teens are this way everywhere in the world, but one thing they really like is challenge. Try to find out how you can challenge them. Sometimes this may seem to be an impossible task, but if you get to know them in their daily lives and use this in class, you'll get this problem over.
thanks joyce for ur replying.....i have done lil bit like what u said..but the problem i faced nowadays was their laziness. i can controll the children well and can motivatem them well in learning english, but for teens, it's a bit difficult, moreover, if some of them are not in good mood. when they dislike or be lazy in doing something, they dont even wanna do anything. even, when i tried to approach them and give them interesting materials, they kept dont care bout it. honestly this kind of situation can ruin my class..they become the trouble makers in the class and disturb the others in learning. can u give me some solutions to help me out of this hot water?
