If you know how to read the PHONETIC TRANSCRIPTION given beside each word, you can easily PRONOUNCE the word correctly even if you’ve never HEARD or SEEN the word before, or don’t even know the meaning of the word! You can find these PHONETIC TRANSCRIPTIONS (or PRONUNCIATION SPELLINGS) printed in your dictionary for each word. The SKILL of knowing how to read the PHONETIC TRASNCRIPTONS would be very HELPFUL to every learner, speaker and teacher of English Language. Interestingly, you can master the skill in LESS THAN 1 MONTH. So, don’t fail to acquire that INVALUABLE SKILL if you are serious about overcoming your PRONUNCIATION PROBLEM once and for all.

Normally, we add "s" or "es" to the end of a SINGULAR NOUN to turn it into a PLURAL NOUN. There is one group of NOUNS that doesn't follow this pattern. They are called IRREGULAR NOUNS and there are hundreds of them. Look at the above examples and observe how their PLURALS are formed. The DIFFICULT part is PRONOUNCING them correctly is a big challenge! But, to those who could read the PRONUNCIATION SPELLINGS (Phonetic Transcriptions), it's a piece of cake.

    • Thank you for sharing it :D

    • You're welcome, SNR.

2662679262?profile=RESIZE_930xThere are many PAIRS of WORDS in English that often confuse us, especially when it comes to PRONUNCIATION. The above are just a few examples. Can you make a clear difference in PRONUNCIATION between the two words in each pair? If you know how to read the PHONETIC SPELLINGS (or pronunciation spellings), it would be a piece of cake for you! Happy Learning!

These words are very common, aren't they? We HEAR and SAY them all the time. But, how sure you are that you're using the correct PRONUNCIATIONS? Cross-check your PRONUNCIATIONS with the above PRONUNCIATIONS (typed in red) and see whether you've been doing it right?

  • Please suggest how can I develop my SKILL of knowing how to read the PHONETIC TRASNCRIPTONS.

Hi, Md. Mafijul Islam! Welcome to the "ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION" Group. By the way, have you become a member of the group? If you haven't, please go to the main page of the group and click the button "Join us". Thank you!

Regarding your question, if the truth is told, you cannot acquire the skill on your own. Let's face reality! You need to be taught by someone who could EXPLAIN and DEMONSTRATE the MANNER (also PLACE) of ARTICULATION OF THE SPEECH SOUNDS. Then, you also need to be taught how to COMBINE THE SPEECH SOUNDS those make up the pronunciation of a word. It's a gradual progress but easily achievable within 24 days. Here's the good news, in fact, I'm a freelancer doing just that - helping interested individuals to master their pronunciation skill by guiding them with the above mentioned things and many others. You can talk to me on Skype for more info. My Skype ID is live:gabrielsowrian

NOTE: I created this group to serve as a platform to PRACTISE and PUT ONSELF TO TEST after he has acquired the skill of reading PHONETIC TRANSCRIPTIONS. What a better way there could be other than this to IMPROVE or POLISH his PRONUNCIATION?

You can EASILY PRONOUNCE the above words even though you've never heard them before if ONLY YOU KNOW the SOUNDS that form the PRONUNCIATION of words in English. Who would like to record saying the words and share the audio?
