  • thats hard to say indeed, i am thinking 30 minutes already:)

it should be acceptable for all people, nations, times, ages, religions, races, and short enough, mother mercy...

so i would like to recommend this: "Captain Paul" by A. Dumas

    it contains:

    - morality

    - humanity

    - loyalty

    - family links (?)

    - nobility

simply, good and bad, white and black, to give the world example how things can be. Not Utopia, close to real life.

    • I haven't read it yet, Stranger. Thanks for recommendation:)

    • it is short one, will be easy piece for you.

      not wide, but deep:)

  • I think I,d choose 'The Secret' since if the whole world follow its rules surely we would live nearly a earthly paradise.
Another one I'd like to mention is 'how to be compassionate' about Dalai Lama teachings, just for the same reason.

Btw, I'll have a look to the one you mention too when I have time :)
    • I'd recommend all books by the french author of the 19th century Honore de Balzac :) There you can find all human types, all situations and all behaviors :)

    • If you haven't read any thing of Dan Brown, try one.

    • I did Mish. They made me reconsider some issues the writer relates.
    • Ha ha ha!

I knew it, you sure had some issues!

    • I didn't like the books by Dan Brown. I wouldn't recommend them as the world book. I guess world books should be as a fire in the darkness that lead to the exit.

Leo Tolstoy's "Anna Karenina" and Dostoevskiy's "Karamazov's brothers" are the world books to my mind.

    • Can you give any specific reason of disliking Dan Brown?
