    I would choose Marie and Peter Curie as my parents. The eager and persevere that this couple had especially Marie is admiring. I would love to inherit this feature from them.

    Actually, who and what I am now it is because of my genetic parents.  And I like 'who and what I am'.  Assuming the topic of the discussion there would have been a different ME.  So I would choose again and again my genetic parents.  (Or you may assume that in my view my parents are the celebrities for me).

      Mish, for sure we can say a big "Thanks" to our genetic parents but let's just imagine for several minutes that we could make a choice :)

      My mother was illiterate, she was able to read only few words of Urdu, because she had learned how to read Qura'an.  She used to read (how much she could) stories for me when I was a kid. Once she asked me  why didn't I learn myself to read.  Then she taught me to read the alphabets of Urdu, and then one or two books.  Then I did it myself, and then in schools I learned to read.

      Now here I am, trying to write in another language.  Its credit goes to my mother, may Allah keep her in peace.

    Joe, I feel it's abnormal that we chose as our fathers 2 leaders of the IT-companies :D :D I wonder why don't we have fights who is better :D:D:D:D:D

    I'd have Steve Jobs as my father and M. Monroe as my mother. I suppose that they would teach me how to stay smart and beautiful at one time. Though it is a well-known fact that if 2 genius people have children it's not necessary that they can inherit their talents. So I could be as dumb as a nut-tree and my so-called parents would be very disappointed by this nature's mistake (I mean myself) :D
