Hi everybodyshare your ideas about this saying:There are some people stuck in a dark cottage WAITING for an ANGEL coming with a shining candle in his hands;but still there are a few people who SEEK FOR a WINDOW which opens toward a sky full of stars and is hidden in one corner of that darkened cottage....

i think in my saying in the discussion both groups HOPE for CHANGE but one is INACTIVE and the other is ACTIVE...
a change without a cause has no meaning ; for it is like believing in the EFFECT without a CAUSE!
in my saying there are two different CHARACTERS considered as the cause of the change...
one is the ANGEL and one is the one who is stuck in the darkness HIM/HERSELF ....
of course it is the most valuable to be the CAUSE of your own CHANGE...
(but remember all the time that even YOU are CAUSED by God...you are given the power to CAUSE changes in your life;treasure your gift)

Hi Zahra,
you talk about the idea of change.This was the slogan of Obama throughout the election .I like the idea of change and we have an arabic proverb has the same meaning " instead of cursing the dark,Lit a candle".I prefer the change idea and i think i'll not stuck in this dark cottage or any dark situation,I'll find many ways to make this cottage bright and shiny.Thanks for your topics they are always so great.

but still the stars do exist and the fog is temporary...there is no need to be scared dear...

So there is no need to be hopeless ; for God Himself says in the Holy Koran :"Say[ that Allah declares, ]" O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed Allah will forgive all sins. Indeed He is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful."
He also declares that :"Allah is the Guardian of the faithful: He brings them out of darkness into light. As for the faithless, their patrons are the Rebels, who drive them out of light into darkness. They shall be the inmates of the Fire, and they shall remain in it[ forever ]".....
so you see He has promised to lead the ones who believe in Him to light...
He is indeed the source of light in the earth and sky....
so we should just rely on Him...
but He wants us to be ACTIVE and not just SIT and HOPE...;for being FAITHFUL to one's Lord has a vast meaning behind...without ATTEMPT we won't be faithful to Him...it is a long way to be the one who God wants us to be....

It is just the feeling I get when feeling that I am stuck in a circular problem or a condition that I have no hope for it, or don't know the end of my sorrows or when the daytime comes to end the dullness of the night !!
It is a painful feeling and yet a hopeful one!! I just get relief when seeking Allah's mercy, when having a long breath and keep ensuring my self by saying, "my God is Great, my God is the creator of mercy, my God loves me and He will satisfy me, He will please me and make me Happy, He is the All Mercy, He is the All powerful, He can make my wishes be true even if there is no hope whatsoever, even there is no any door opened for me ". by saying this to my self, I soon get relief and I even see the light comes nearer to me...and what a beautiful feeling it is !!...Just to have hope in Allah, our Great God :)......but, unfortunately this beautiful feeling doesn't last, for the simple reason, that when thinking of the problem I have, I think of it in my own way, I see it so big, I see my wish so hard to be attained, but sooner I seek relief by seeking Allah's help, support, and mercy. I keep asking my Lord to give me hope in Him even if all doors are closed in front of me, or the word HOPE to attain day light never exists :)
