If you say that someone has eyes in the back of their head, you mean that they are very observant and seem to be aware of everything that is happening around them.

* she has eyes in the back of her head and is always alert to the slightest trouble or sign of trouble.

* our daughter is at the stage where you need eyes in the back of your head.
