  • I have trouble in spelling over the dialogues. But after consulting the dictionary,it is easy for me to learn the dialogues. From it we can know that it is convenient for us when we are on the planes.Because there are food, drinks, safety belts and the places to put our carry-on bags.In addition, the captain will give signs whenever you need and the flight attendants provide good services for us.
    • Thank you, Xi Rui, for consulting your dictionary; you are making the teacher's heart happy! Because that is exactly what is expected of every student so that they are better prepared for the class! I can see you know quite a bit about the lesson and therefore tomorrow's lesson would not be too difficult for you.

  • After reading those aviation dialogues,i learned a lot knowledge about aviation.First, i learned some new vocabs .Besides,I will be more rest assured when i take a plane in the future. And i will be clam when i meet with an accident.Of course it is best not to have an accident.
    • Haha Hou Jialei, one can see you haven't been in a plane before ...! Because there is no record of any person being calm when they had an accident! Even in the smaller accidents where no person was killed, evidence is that the passengers became hysteric, probably as most of them are afraid of dying, and others are just panic easily. But don't worry, flying today is much, much safer than a few decades ago. When I flew the first time (I was 26 years old), flying wasn't so safe, but fortunately, one doesn't think about that and keep busy reading, watching TV or sleeping.

  • I never go somewhere by plane ,so I am not familiar with aviation vocab and dialogues. After read this worksheet(Actually,it's not easy ,there are some new words) ,I know many details on plane,I only know these in teleplays and films before,I think it 's helpful when I take a plane one day.
    • Huo Meng, that is exactly what this lesson is meant to achieve - to help students who have never flown before, to get familiar with some aviation vocabulary. Oh, and btw, learning new vocabulary is seldom easy and pleasant, but it is still very important to do it as we can't master a language if we do not have the words to use in our speech. But I guess you realize that! ;-)

  • In fact,I had never traveled by plane. So I do not know some rules on the plane.By looking at the dialogue,I understand the need to take a oxygen mask.I never know, we need to take a oxygen mask when the plane.I hope I can personally on a plane.Maybe I can learn more.
    • Well, Hong Jingjing, the oxygen masks are only there for emergencies when for some reason the pressure inside the cabin is not sufficient to breathe. Only then would the masks be automatically ejected from the overhead compartment and can the passengers put it on their faces. It doesn't happen often. Oh, and just be patient; you chance to fly will come one day! I was 26 before I flew for the first time!

  • After reading the dialogue about On a Plane, I know many announcements about taking an airplane, and know what should the passengers do before and after the aieplane taking off. Also,I know many constructions in the cabin from the picture.Although I have never boarded an airplane,I have learned much announcements from the dialogue,I thnk I wont afraid when I take the airplane the first time.
    • Haha Amy, it is not strange that not many students have flown in a plane yet as most people only do that after they have started to work. So, don't worry, your time for flying would surely come one day! I was 26 when I boarded my first plane and about 21 years later I have only flown three times. But I guess today's modern people fly easier and also - very importantly - flying today is much, much more safer than some years ago as the aviation industry and quality and technology of the planes have improved tremendously.
