(1) Man Overboard: Role plays in 7 groups of 6 students.

    I think all man are created equal,so we have no right to decide others' life and death.Although if someone unwill to sacrifice himself ,all people in the boat die,we can't force to sacrifice of others.But I believe that if i were pop star and scientist on the boat ,i'll choose to be sacrificed.

      Jiang Dan, I think you are completely correct with that first statement. But the reality in the world is that other people still decide on who will live and who will die. The communist governments do that since Marx and Lenin, and the Americans do it. This is a shame on the world. Your second sentence is also very interesting and no one has mentioned that so far. Yes, what about anyone sacrificing himself for others ...?! In the history of the world, I know of only One man doing that. But the people living in this world for the last two millennia were all too selfish to dare doing that (though there were many brave men - but brave in killing and defending others, not sacrificing themselves). Last point, you said they can't be forced to be sacrificed ... I can nearly guarantee you that if the lives of the other people depend on the sacrifice of two people, they would throw them overboard by force if they don't want to leave voluntarily (otherwise all will die as the lifeboat would sink)!

    After reading this article. I will choose the doctor to survive, because the doctor can save also help the other people, other people have the disease, must know how to have a healing people to stay.       Zhang Yingying, where did you read about a "spare voyager" (a person making a long journey by sea or space)?! And why do you mention 'children'? There is only one young child! But shame on you that you want to sacrifice the young child who hasn't even had a long life ..!

    If i am one of the survivors who escaped from the sinking ship,i will say 'i can catch fishes.If you are hungry i can catch fishes for you .As we know,we don't have any food now.We can't stay too long without food.Besides,i catch a fish technology is very high.'What 's more ,i will choose to kill the pop star and the multi-moillionaire.Maybe it sounds very cruel.But There are no better ways.Because they wouldn't have much influence on the social.

      Hou Jialei, there were no fishermen among the survivors. So, you have to adopt another role! Besides, any person can catch fish; so, they wouldn't fall for your motivation why you shouldn't jump! Oh, and you don't have to kill anyone ... they would just be elected to jump overboard so that the others can survive.

    I will say i was a expert captain.And i can deal with all kinds of difficulties on the sea. I can use my navigation take all the people to safe place.The most importent thing is that ,i can swim in the sea to get the fresh fishes makingfood for all the people.

    If I am one of the people in the boate,I hope I am the scientist.Because I have discovered a cure of cancer,only I know the formula of the medicine.I would tell them:"You die just means you die,but my death means millions of people die.Because more and more people get cancer,without my cure,they will all gone.Think about your family and people all over the world.So whoever will jump overboate,it shouldn't be me."

      Yes, I think you have a good motivation for the group not to sacrifice you! But I hope you have some good excuses for the others too, Guo Hongtai, as you may draw a different character and will you be able to convince your group not to sacrifice you (if you are somebody other than the scientist!)?
