During the next lesson, we are going to a few short dramas to build our confidence for the rest of the semester. As the picture above shows us, if we do it together, the chance of success is much higher and our confidence will grow together. So, let's stand by each other and make a success of this English class!
(1) We'll do a small drama involving Mohammed and his siblings; first the teacher, and then the class will follow!
(2) Now we'll be ready for two role plays involving Maria and her family in the one, and Nduku and his friends in the other. We'll divide into 3 groups x4 (Nduku's play) and 3 groups x5 (Maria's).

Good evening, teacher! I am Liu YuFan . We didn't know how to comment correctly just now.And some of us still didn't have their reply e-mail. I will help them to get in the group soon. We don't know well about dramas,so I think it will be a good chance for us to learn about it. Looking forward to tomorrow's class! :)
Thank you for your comment, Liu Yufan. Yes, it will take a few days before everyone is registered. I hope it would be finalized by this weekend. And about the comments, it may be a little unusual to everyone in the beginning, but you will all get used to it. Tomorrow is just a simple exercise. It may expose some students (especially the very shy ones), but it is very necessary to "break the ice" for our future lessons. You will enjoy it, I think! :)
Hi Hetty! It's because of your handwriting that I thought one spells your name with a "B" and not "H"! And then when I queried that, it was not clear what your answer was. Your name is Hetty, and that's what I will call you then. yes, new students are always nervous in the beginning, but you will get used to the oral classes and later everyone will start to relax more. So, don't be worried too much! :)
You mean, "good evening", Hou Yan, as you are greeting the teacher, not saying goodbye, not so?! :)
Han Qing, you can't say the teacher is a good teacher if you haven't even had a few lessons with him to be able to say that! How do you know he's not pretended to be nice in the first class?! And besides, there wasn't even a lesson in the first class, only the introduction and some arrangements for the new semester! Wait till the end of the semester before you give the teacher some praise! But be cautious, foreign teachers are not like Chinese teachers and some of them do not appreciate praise ..!
Just try again, Tina! Ask yourself where the problem lies! :)
That may be true, Crystal, but they have to try to participate. In an oral class, everyone must practice the language one is speaking in that class - no exceptions! Maybe the first lesson would make some students nervous, yes; but I know from experience that it would become easier the further we go into the semester.
Hi Wang Shuaitian. You are the first from your class to write something here. Congratulations!
However, from next week I will expect from the students to make proper comments at each lesson for the next week. A comment should be at least two lines long, it must reflect something about the content of the lesson (so that I can see that the student knows what the lesson would be about - hopefully the student would also prepare for the lesson ..), and it must be made BEFORE each lesson and NOT after. I will convey that to the class again, but for now I hope they would sign up so that at least they can already get familiar with the website. See you tomorrow then.
