About my score, I am surprised, it is better than before. But I think I still have some place of shortage. Such as my pronunciation, it is not good enough. But in three terms' study, I am better than when I was come to university.Thank you, teacher. Thank you for teach us three terms.
Yes, your roommate is a good role model and you wouldn't make a mistake to 'follow' that model's good example! Glad you still feel positive about the method we use in our classes. I also think it benefits the students more as I often see good results. Thank you for working so hard. I noticed that your score this semester was identical to last semester's (when you had the top score!); the only difference was that a few others have worked harder this time 'round! You still did very well!
Li Xiupeng should tell the class tonight! So, wait for him. He is slower now as he says his leg is hurting ..! But it should be us meeting at 4pm at bei men tomorrow. Remember to bring water!
Yes, you are right that the two bonus questions helped you to get your perfect (100%+) score! But you have earned only half a mark on the answer to Q20 (which, btw, I thought would be an easy question!) as you had two of the words correct. That by itself is still a great performance; so, no reason to blame yourself. But I agree with you about your second point. Some students can memorize well and do well in such a test as a vocab paper, but that doesn't mean they speak English well, or that they have improved their skills substantially. However, my experience is that this vocab paper, since I have introduced it, is indeed helping some students to improve at least their vocabulary. Thank you for being so positive throughout all our classes (even when the teacher's lost it at times ..!). You have improved further from last semester (I know), and I can see how you will one day master this language - and I look forward to that! ;-)
Well, most students only prepare for a minor exam the evening prior to the paper - it is an age-old phenomenon and it hasn't changed! But I think you touched on the right reason for your success .. you gave attention in the classes! I know, because I noticed it! And I am also quite sure that you often knew what the lesson was about as you never missed a comment (and most of your comments told me that you had knowledge about the lesson - okay, mostly!). Maybe you can continue working on your oral skills; it would never hurt you and you would benefit by doing that in preparation for the wide world that's waiting on you to enter in two years! ;-)
Again, congratulations on a splendid performance! :)
Haha, how sure are you about the validity of your last sentence ..?! I am not so sure about that! If it proves to be correct, then I will arrange with ms Bao that we can have an evening class next semester ... but then 100% of the class must agree and be present in every class! And that is not something you can guarantee, can you?! ;-)
Oh, and btw, you obviously understand why those students could get more than 100% (which in reality is not possible) - it's because of the two bonus points for correct answers. Quite a number of you got at least one of those correct, but then there were other mistakes. But as you rightly mentioned, behind a good score is usually a great effort and hard work. :)
Firstly,I wanna congratulate those students who got 100%,I should learn from them.Secondly,I'm a little happy with my score, although it's not good as those student who got 100%,but there is a little progress in my vocab I think, and I should be better in English studying. And thanks for you teaching, let me progress,See you, teacher!
Yes, you are right, students who fall in love with English (besides their natural love for their own mother tongue), usually work harder as they want to be fluent one day and they understand the advantages in life to master a global language. So, I hope you will soon get to like English more ..!
Yes, the hearts of girls are so mystical, but that's what makes them so special! And of course, girls may change their minds when they want! Sounds like you girls have enjoyed your long weekend; hope you are not too tired to go to Shoushan this week!
I'm happy for you that you have enjoyed the role play so much. I told you already my opinion about it, and it hasn't changed - I will not be surprised that Hollywood is waiting on you to finish your studies ..!
About the festival, hope you have enjoyed it. Me? You should know me better by now! Firstly, I don't like holidays as I prefer to be in the classroom! And secondly, remember I am not Chinese (and would never be as it is impossible!) and the Chinese holidays have no meaning to me (sorry!). So, I treat the holidays here as normal days. Today I had a peaceful day at home and didn't even go out (had enough exercise with two hours of tennis yesterday afternoon). But I'm happy for my students that they get some extra days and enjoy the breaks. ;-)
Well, I have a kitchen in my house ... so, when do you and your roommates want to visit for a meal (which you would cook, of course)?! Some of my Class 10 students had done that before; so, it is possible! I am leaving for BJ to visit RSA around 25 or 26 June. So, either before that or next semester when you get back from holiday. ;-)
Yes, Di Xin can do better than 75% I believe ... if she applies her mind to it and decide that is what she wants to do (improving her English language skills)! I know she has the potential ..! ;-)
