Have you ever asked yourself why don't we feel the same as when we were a child? The depth of our laughter and joy are not as we were a child. I have asked my self this question many many times and looked for a way to bring that joy and bliss into my life again. Finally, I came across the answer. When we grow up we laugh less than childhood. We have become so serious and lost the sense of curiosity and imagination as John Barrymore mentioned in this quote: "A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams". This has ended up to be more upset and felt like an old person. But, if you look at this video (if you can't see it, please listen to the mp3 version of it at the bottom of this post). You will realize "aging process" does not exist. What matters is how we feel inside and how we can apply a good lifestyle into our life. By what we feed our mind and body, we can stay healthy and young. Can you guess how old Mimi Kirk is?
I am so glad you liked the post. You are right in some part, genes determine for us but, we can change genes or better say DNA in genes by diet and healthy lifestyle.
OMG!
She's 71,but she looks fantastic!
On the other hand I think that we loose our childlish, careless self, because of worries of keeping up our daily life level and because of the sense of responsibility as taking care of others,p.e:our children.....I admire those who can still keep their cheerful and playful old selves in the everyday
life.
I think Mimi is really lucky, and genes(genealogy) count too in the aging process......
