This is a real picture from Dubai a few months back,just look at the poor creatures killed by a single selfish reason which could have been avoided what do  you think happened to the fish lying helplessly dead on top of the water?

Yes,the water was polluted,with what and how?Here are some possible answers

Pollution as we know is when the water is adversely affected due to the addition of large amount of materials and becomes unfit for use.The causes of water pollution are as follows;

1)Dumping of  sewage&fertilizers which have nutrients and phosphate in lakes rivers or any water body. When there is an excess nutrient level in the water, they stimulate aquatic plants and algae which use up the oxygen as they decompose and block light to deeper water.The fish and other living vertebrate die as a result of insufficient oxygen.

2)Silt,solid soil from farms are washed up when it rains again fish respiration is impaired and they sufficate and die

3)Materials such as leaves,grass clippings run off from livestock feedlots and pastures ae also washed into water bodies ,here again oxygen is used up by the organic materials to dissolve in water and the fish dies.

Solid material are also washed into the water when it rains and this blocks sunlight from penetraing deeper into the water 

4)When petroleum is transported it is spilled in form of oil in the water, offshore drilling also contributes to spilling of oil,causing the fish to suffocte due to lake of oxygen.

5)Using chemicals to kill the fish by man due to one reason or the other.

6)Increase in temperature also results in the death of many aquatic animals.

Now do the fish deserve this treatment,what happens later if all this continues?

What happens to the water?

What happens to us if there is no good water for human consumption ?

What happens to foodchain linked with these fish if all goes on like this?

What happens to human race  eventually?

   So why don't we all wake up and help the fish in the water from dying because by doing that we are helping ourselves.

HOW DO WE PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING?

1)By cleaning the beach and other water bodies,

2)By stopping the pumping or discharge of sewage,fertilizers and other materials like solids and trash into the water.

3)By making people ware of the harm they are causing the fish,littering the water

4) By telling farmers not to over use pesticides and fertiliers

5)Conserve water
