This book is very innovative and quite controversial. At first it can shock us because Daphne Rose breaks the myth of "how love is supposed to be". This book challenges what most of us believe in, social norms and expectations that seem to put things in order. It belittles the importance of marriage institute and underestimates the virtue of shouldering responsibilities.Daphne Rose Kingma suggests that every moment of our love relationships serves a higher purpose, a purpose of the soul.In a sense, she gets as close to truly explaining the nature of "unconditional" love as any writer I have read. This is the love that doesn't care whether two people are together or have broken up... the love transcends the "structure" of their relationship. For her, soul love is the ultimate love and after thinking so much about it, i quite agree. My point now is to be able to reach this level of love.... long way to go !Would be nice to know if some of you read that book, and if so, i would love to hear your opinion about it.Wishing peace and love to each of you.Manuela

The main topic of this book is not marriage, but LOVE. But you are right Bob, at first, this book may shock people, but when thinking deeply about what Daphne wrote it makes sense, at least to me. Thanks for your opinion.
I am sorry to say that I have not seen it. Maybe I will find a copy in my town.
If it is saying that marriage is not important then it may upset many religions depending on how this is said. I will ask some of my friends who are also readers.
