We know, that knowing ourselves and our abilities, is an important step in acquiring self confidence, which help us to achieve our goals and find our happiness.
It's only us who can discover what we like and dislike, but we also discover us by interacting with other people. To what extend originality build self confidence and when it depends on other appreciations?
Here are some quotes I've recently read:
“He who depends on himself will attain the greatest happiness”
~Chinese Proverb
“Few are those who can see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts”
~Albert Einstein
“When there are no enemies within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you”
~African Proverb
“Before Enlightenment – chop wood, carry water. After Enlightenment – chop wood, carry water.”
~ Zen Buddhist Proverb
“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”
~Bob Marley
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter won’t mind.”
~Dr. Seuss
“Love the life you live. Live the life you love.”
~Bob Marley

Hi, Tough question,
Actually, all I have for fighting against hazards, is me, my strenghts, my principles, my thoughts that I am doing well what I am doing. I know who am I and what I want; for me is the only path reliable, otherwise I would lose myself between critics, malicious people, or tough moments...
I benefited as this is my way to get stronger and in the end makes me capable to find friends who share the same opinions, or to convince people that my opinions worth consideration.
But of course ''benefit'' can have various meanings amoung people.
Thanks for your comment
