Conversation #2 : A Wise Punishment

Hello everybody!

 

Today I came up with a conversation about a wise punishment. I hope that you like it.

Hi Mrs. Hen.

 

Hi dear Mrs. Ducky.

How are you doing?

 

I am doing very well. How about you?

 

I am fine, too. Thanks.

 

Good. May I ask you to do me a favor?

 

Sure. What is it?

 

You know, my newborn baby is lazy doing swimming exercises. I can't take her with me to the lake.

 

Oh, I see. So what can I do for you?

 

Today, I want to go to the lake with my other chicks. But the one I told you can't come with us, although she loves playing with water. I am gonna punish her. Could you please take care of her while I am away?

 

Ok, sure. Anything else that I can do for you?

 

Yes, please. Also I want you to take her for a long long walk. And please don't let her escape the punishment. 

 

Oh, Ok. I bet she'll regret her laziness in swimming. 

 

I hope so. You know why I chose this punishment?

 

No, why ?

 

She always compares herself with your chickens, and complains that they don't need to do all these exercises, but I have to. I want to let her know that your chickens also need to work hard if they want to survive.

 

I see. That's so wise of you. I am sure she'll get the point.

 

OK. I'll bring her here soon. Thanks for the help.

    Sweet Zahra, you have a soft angel's voice and your english accent is amazingly good. Whaou...

    I have  a question about this dialogue, how can a new born baby have a long walk to exercise ? 

    Did i miss something ?

      Hi dear Manuela,

       

      Thanks a lot for your kind message. Well, to tell the truth, I don't have much information about ducks! I don't know when a baby duck starts swimming or if it can walk for a long time!!! :-S

      I just picked the ducky and hen as my characters and I used a sort of personification.( I don't know if I used the correct word here! I meant I used human beings' qualities for animals.)

      Or I can make an excuse in this way; I tried to include a little sense of humor in my text,too. :D

      Anyway, I'll be happy if you help me enrich my info about a duck and its baby.
