Hi dreamer...I think you are completely wrong,your soul mate or your lover can be at any age,age isn't important,you can easily find the same age,but hardly your soul mate...you should go on don't waste your time...it can be just one chance for you,to be happy

However, as for me, wherever I settled or am settling, I believe that I have met the right persons whom I rightly need & needed; when I was in Korea before I came to UK I had a friend (a true life friend) who was like my shadow; when I first went to the University my future friend was waiting for me from the day when we had a student orientation, and we came abroad (to UK) together to study (He is still in UK) ; when I went to Church in UK I've made a good friend of mine who has always been so helpful spiritually & mentally; when I went to the University in UK I've met my wife (my real life soul mate); when I've started a current job my best friend was working for the associated company and now we've been working together for many years; when I joined in MyEC I've met very good friends (my BIF, more than one).
Hence, it has never been too late but always on the right time for me.
If I were you, I could have thought of two possibilities; firstly, I could think of him negatively. Perhaps he couldn't be your soul mate whom you expected to be, then in case you honestly think it's too late, you'd better forget it now; secondly, I could think of him positively. So he might be your actual soul mate you were waiting for, as the timing is not so important if you think he is still the right one for you now, and if he actually remains in your heart at this present moment. Then you'd better do something before too late, as I reckon you are the only one who knows what to do.

All my friends whom I think they were/are some kind of my soul mates, I believe in them. I never ever expected/demanded anything from them but strangely they were/are just standing beside me whenever I realized something or opened my eyes after heavy trouble (like the storm passed by her), and I was/am alway grateful they were/are there for me.
Wherever I went/go here or there, they just walked along with me & sang a song with me, and just were/are with me in silent for hours, as I felt nothing but released from a certain burden which seems to be unspeakable in any circumstances.
A good & true friend (soul mate) can, as a matter of fact, neither give you a happy life you really want or look for, nor a fulfillment of your goal you are actually aiming or focusing on. Hence, it will be much more sufficient if he/she can/is standing just beside you even without any words, as it'd better be in silent than in talking too much unnecessarily because it may possibly make worse.
