In my country, the Lunar new year is coming, i want to tell you about my country, our cultural, the people here especially in this occasion. So would you like to tell me about the New year in your country?

Well, new year in Iran is called "Nowruz"
U'd better check this link for more info but briefly saying, I just can tell u that there is a 13-day vacation that we meet the relatives on these days... it can be said that for half of the relatives we meet each other once a year on these holidays. On the last day 13th almost allllllllllllllll the ppl go on picnic which is called "sizdah be dar" many years ago, on this day, millions of Iranians were killed by (if I'm not mistaken) 2 or 3 Jewish persons...it's got a long story that u have to go for in Google if u'd like............... on that day, u find the city out of ppl and really silent.... That's point I like :P
We've got "haft sin" Table which contains of seven staffs that start by the letter "S"
I'm not sure if it's the same with u, but in Nowruz, the hour, min, sec of the new year is determined for each year and that's the thing which I really love about it.........................
what are you doing in lunar day?

There is a lot of activity we do in the Lunar day like go to our relative houses, give everyone a wish, play cards,etc...Children ,after giving one a wish, will be received lucky money. This is the thing that we like most, haha.
Another one, in the last day of the year, we have a special meal to commemorate our ancester and to see off the old year. Then waiting to see the New Year in.
