Why would it not be hard.
It is like to walk through a path full of thorns all around, and you are wearing a dress of thin cloth, what would you do to save your dress to be torn by these thorns? Naturally you will walk very carefully. In the same way to be successful in life you will have to face all the difficulties, hardships, and be carefull to save your life from sins, if you do so, you are successfull.
