which one is correct?

on the stage stood he./on the stage he stood./on the stage did he stand.

which one is corret and why?

    I think the second one is correct. The reason is we never use subject at the end of a sentence ,so, the choice number one is incorrect. To make a question, we should use "Did" at the beginning of the sentence, so, we say did you stand on the stage? And, for the second choice, we need "," after "On the stage" ,so the correct form is: On the stage, he stood.
