In India Teacher & All student must visit School & attend Flag Ceremony Parade & some Competitions

in Maharashtra also Holiday but only government & big private company follow the rule ,small scale & other they do not provide leave ,

dear friend

i m from Azerbaijan ..we celebrate independence day in 18 october ,October 18 used to be a holiday celebrated on a state level and it was a non-working day.. sure October 18 is a national holiday.10x u.. u choosed great content

In India we celebrate 15 August ( 15 August 1947)

Today is national Holiday but All Private sector not give holiday like My company . I am in office today .
