Hello guys,
I am little bit confused ..You know, I have come across many times videos on Youtube or pictures of muslim girls with covered hair BUT with heavy layer of make up. I mean they post tutorials etc. and I really wonder where is the logic as their hair is covered but face is hidden under the layers of make up, which like we all know make women look better..
What is your opinion? Is it ok to cover hair but to put on such heavy layer of make up including red lipstick etc.? How does it go together? Plz... enlighten me ;)

It's interesting that you came up with this question while you don't believe in God.
The purpose of Hijab is something truly deep and caring.that's why when even your hair isn't supersexy in your idea , you're not excused from wearing Hijab.
If you ask me I wouldn't encourage a girl with Hijab and unfortunately heavy make up to take off her Hijab. As I told you hair and make up are two cases of beauty , she is following one at least ( although it is more harmful to the whole ideology when you follow half of it ).
If they're doing it deliberately , their purpose is clear , for those who are doing it not deliberately I think they need a more complete understanding.I would like to talk to them :)

Thank you:)
No doubt that humans are free to choose. If it wasn't so the fact that God examines human beings in this world would be meaningless.I can't be examined when I can't have my choices.
But we should consider that we are all responsible for each other. One of the main points of Islam (and perhabs all heavenly religions)that I truly love is that we should care about each other.I always review this example in my mind in these cases.Has it ever happen to you that for example you find a great restaurant which serves the most delicious food ever , then you feel like introducing it to your friends , others happily?if I summarize this daily event I would say , you found something good and you feel like telling others about it and it's just because you love them and you care, you want them to experience the best things. The same thing can happen on the opposite side , imagine that you are poisoned in a restaurant and you see people are going to that restaurant to eat , don't you feel like telling them that it's not a good one , telling them your experience ? Even if you have heard it from a reliable person you feel like telling others about it and warn them. The summary would be , you found something bad and disastrous and you feel responsible to warn others about it since you care, you love people and you're not indifferent.
In these stories the benefit or the harm would just goes to the body. Eating good food or poisonous one.Don't you think that our soul , our mind is just as important as our body if not more? So shouldn't we feel responsible for each other to tell others what we truly found right and warn them for what we truly found wrong? Just because we love them , we care and we are not indifferent about their lives.
So everyone is free to choose but he or she has to try his or her best to find the best thing. Moreover you might agree that not every best thing is the easiest one.And others who found the right thing warmly tell them and warn them against the wrong.
See how beautiful the world will be !
And every one would listen to all messages and choose the best one. Allah said in Quran that His servents are those who listen to words and choose the best.
So we have to practice being a good listener and welcoming messages and ideas with open arms , not to accept without thinking but to challange and try to find the best one which leads us to prosperity in the world and in hereafter.
Truth is one , and the road by which you achieve it is also one .But you can walk , drive on motorcycle , car, take the bus or fly the road , these are the variabilities.( there are some short cuts too::))) )
If you trust God and follow Him , then your on the road.
I'm sorry again , I promise not to write any more , I made it long enough

I agree with you and think - either everything or nothing... I am from totally different part of the world where we don't hide anything as we don't consider hair sth supersexy, which would make our men crazy... we like showing our identity here but ofc it is a question of the place we are living in.. I personally don't believe in God, so such things like covered hair but why the hell make up made me confused... btw ...does anybody say anything to such girls or nobody cares?
I know I am the old witch with sharp tongue so I am waiting for the moment when curiosity is gonna kill da cat :D got it?
come on...don't you know the old wisedom that women make themself beautiful because of each other as they compete who looks better? They don't care about men that much :D
First of all ,if I asked you to go through it yourself , I didn't mean to comprehend it personally without paying attention to the required principles for the right comprehension...I meant to go through it and touch the words and ideas yourself...it really makes difference..beside as I explained the need of a specialist , you should ask help from a true specialist for a better understanding.
About your main question, actually the existence of different branches based on different comprehensions(in basic and main facts and parts where two comprehensions can't be gathered) doesn't hurt the fact that the true comprehension is just one. You know each of us can come up with a new self-made comprehension regardless of all those prior principles and knowledge we need to have in order to get to the true comprehension. But all those wouldn't be the true comprehension. For example , a true comprehension of some verses of Quran needs a great historical knowledge. You need to know what had happened historically just then you can come up with the true comprehension in those verses which point to some events. Now I can have a comprehension without considering that historical background , it is a comprehension and maybe I can be so successful to have followers for that but it's not the true one and unfortunately I misguided some people too.
Although sometimes this miscomprehensions happen not deliberately , I mean the person searched enough , studied enough , listened to other points enough and worked enough , honestly between him an God .There is no blame , that's the level of his understanding and attempts.
But those who do it deliberately will face a difficult hereafter.
It is just because of that , that we (shia ) believe that God sent us a book and a messenger to give us the true comprehension ( two that they never detach).A messenger who has reached to the highest level of humanity by his choice and that's why well protected by Allah not to fall. The first was the prophet (P. B.U.H ) and after him till now the 12 successors who were ( and the last 12th is )of his family. This is how we make sure to get the true comprehension. So there is no point of fear for miscomprehensions.
I'm sorry I tried to be short and comprehensive:))
We can talk more

What is mentioned in Quran is something more than what you were told.I suggest you to go through it yourself :).True scholars are those who help us to get the right message not those who force us into their own personal beliefs.God has said that Quran is what makes (things) clear. It's something people can comprehend.God has said that He sent a messenger for each community talking their own languages.I mean Quran is not something with incomprehensible alphabets that we can't understand anything unless scholars tell us.Although they can help us and we must ask for help because their specialist (like in any other field that you tend to ask a specialist to comment on that special field), God has given us the innate tools for understanding. With the scholars' help we can use the best of them.
And you're right about the form and style of clothing which is different in different culture.Islam has told us the factors and basis , any form and style of clothing that fit to those factors and norms are acceptable. In Iran we have long veils called Chador as the best style which follows the islamic factors , while in other countries they might have different clothing , like long skirts , dresses and so on.

You're right to be confused since it's confusing:) .what's the rule in Islam is that women must cover their beauties in public and in front of non-Mahrams but their free to show when they're with their Mahrams(the purpose of the rule is because of ethic , humanity and ...., need another discussion to comment on).Hair and putting make up both are the cases of beauty. So those who just cover their hair are just following one part and missing the other.they're awarded and admired just for that part they do .
Moreover , I think these kinds of people haven't understood the goal and purpose of Hijab completely. They need to be fed ideologically. (Many of us need , each in a particular area)
Wish you all the best
Nina.
